S50
S50 Universal thinner (for PU/acrylic)
Universal medium-evaporation thinner with good solvency. The default thinner for most Technocolor 2K polyurethane and acrylic materials.
- Thinning PU and acrylic primers
- Matt PU and acrylic lacquers and enamels

- S80Thinner
Above ~25 °C, large panels, gloss finishes — S80 instead of S50 (many acrylic and PU products list S80 alongside S50).
S80 is slow: more dust pick-up and more sag risk on verticals. Neither S50 nor S80 changes cure time. Catalog: S80 is for dead-flat and high-gloss PU/acrylic finishes.
- S70Thinner
Dead-flat and high-gloss PU/acrylic finishes (S70 is listed alongside S50 for ATL90, PTL50, PTL90, LGA53x, PTS52 — official pages; PPL10, PPL20, PPL50 — catalog).
- S100Thinner% by weight: 5–10 % of the thinner portionrecommended
Hot weather, solvent popping/bubbles in summer — add a little S100 to the S50.
Catalog: S30 is fast, for PU/acrylic/polyester/UV; S31 is medium-evaporation with good solvency, for PU/acrylic/UV (ATS20 allows S30). Using S30 in a cold shop or on small parts is shop practice, not a catalog statement.

The thinner is never sprayed on its own. Add S50 after part A + hardener are mixed, stir, then check viscosity with the cup. On high-solids thixotropic primers keep S50 to 20 % max or you lose build and hide.

Cleaning
- Why ru
- На странице S10 указано, что его можно применять для очистки оборудования; S50 выполняет ту же роль растворителя, но для этого не указан.
Gun cleaning after PU/acrylic: S50 works, but Technocolor officially names the fast S10 for flushing (and it is cheaper). Never leave hardened mix in the gun past pot life.
Process and compatibility
- Temperature and humidity
- Default at 18–25 °C and on verticals; above ~25 °C switch to S80 (or S70, which the catalog also lists as slow).source
- Don'ts
- Do not exceed the base product's maximum — you lose build, hide and sag resistance
- Not for waterborne (H-series) materials
- Not the first-choice thinner for polyester gloss — use S10/S11 (ETL200 only lists S50 as an option)
- Do not pre-thin the hardener — add thinner to the already-mixed A+B
Storage
- Packaging
- 1 л,5 л,25 лdealer
- Storage temperature
- 5–30 °C, плотно закрытая тара, вдали от огняrecommended
Safety: Highly flammable liquid. Use in a ventilated spray booth, organic-vapour (A) respirator and nitrile gloves; no ignition sources, ground the equipment. (Generic solvent-thinner precautions — the maker's SDS was not found.)
