ATL93
ATL93 high-strength (hard-wearing) 2K acrylic lacquer, dead matt (3 gloss units)
Two-pack clear acrylic (acrylic/isocyanate) lacquer, hard-wearing grade, dead matt (3 GU). Per the dealer: fast drying, non-yellowing over time, brings out the pores well, low grain raise; household-product resistance and yellowing resistance both rated 'excellent'. Cured with a big hardener dose (50 %), so the film is harder and tougher than ATL90; despite the 'fast drying' blurb, the dealer's own numbers make it slower than ATL90 (touch 1 h vs 20 min, sanding 12 h vs 1 h).
- Finishing any wood species, interior use only
- High-wear surfaces: table and worktops, bar tops, kitchen fronts, dining tables (per the catalog's definition of 'high-strength' lacquers)
- Dead-matt 'raw wood look' top coat over ATS20 acrylic primer

Mixing matrix

Always — it's a 2K lacquer. Fixed 50 % dose (2.5–5× what ATL90 takes — that's where the extra toughness comes from). AC40 is standard, AC41 is the listed alternative.
Don't short the hardener: under-dosed, the film stays soft and never reaches its rated resistance. Overdosing is no good either — brittleness, solvent pop.
- S80Thinner% by weight: 30–40 (typ. [object Object]) %dealer% by volume: 35–45 %recommended
The only thinner in the dealer table. Slow — good flow-out on big flats (worktops) and an even matt without cloudy patches.
Thinner doesn't change cure time, only evaporation (workshop notes). S80 means more dust pick-up and a sag risk on verticals.
- S50Thinner% by weight: 30–40 %recommended
Only if needed: cold shop, vertical work, chairs. Not listed for ATL93 by the dealer — spray a test panel first.

Stir well before mixing and during the job — the matting agent settles. Don't sand or polish the final coat — it burnishes into shiny patches.

For production runs of worktops and fronts. Official methods page: airmix suits top coats better than airless.
Electrostatic
- Why ru
- Страница методов: все системы распыления могут быть электростатическими; в данных ATL93 запрета нет. Медленные смеси с S80 обычно имеют рабочую электропроводность — проверьте прибором.
Possible on any spray system (official methods page). Check the mix conductivity.
Brush
- Why ru
- Дилер указывает только распыление. На плёнке 3 gloss каждый мазок кисти виден как разница блеска; только для подкраски.
Not recommended: dead matt shows every brush stroke. Small repairs only.
Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- Flats P150, P180, P220; profiles K60–K80 pads; de-dust. ATS20 primer (hardener C40 20 % per the schedule; AC40 20 % per workshop notes; S50 30 %; 150 g/m²), dry 1.5 h at 30–35 °C, sand P240–P280–P320, profiles K60–K80.recommended
- Sanding
- Between coats after ≥12 h, P320–P400. Leave the final coat alone.recommended
- Temperature and humidity
- 18–25 °C, 50–70 % RH; lacquer and workpiece no colder than 15 °C.recommended
- Don'ts
- Don't cut the hardener below 50 % — you lose the 'high strength'.
- Don't mix more than you'll use within the 4 h pot life.
- Don't sand before 12 h — the paper clogs.
- Don't sand or polish the final dead-matt coat.
- Don't use outdoors — interior only.

Safety: Flammable. Contains organic solvents; the AC40/AC41 hardener is an isocyanate, and at a 50 % dose there's a lot of it in the mix. Booth only, A2P2/A2P3 respirator (air-fed is better), gloves, goggles.
