APL80094

APL80094 Decorative effect 'Brass' (metallised enamel)

Two-pack acrylic metallised enamel loaded with metal particles that imitates brass. Once cured, the particles are sanded/polished P320→P1500 to a deep metallic shine, optionally aged with patina or the D100 rust effect, then sealed with an acrylic clear.

  • exclusive finishing of furniture fronts and panels in various wood species and MDF
  • polished-brass imitation
  • base coat for the D100 rust effect
  • aged brass with CQS patina

Hold 15–20 cm off, 50 % overlap, steady pass speed. Stir before filling the cup and while working — the metal drops out fast. Don't flood it: a heavy film cures slower and clogs the paper when you polish.

Check the gun/pump filter doesn't strain out the metal (60 mesh or coarser).

Spray low pressure D100 overcoat

For the rust effect spray D100 over the dried and sanded brass at LOW air pressure — the look depends on droplet size and how heavily you apply it.

Don'ts
  • don't polish before full cure (24 h)
  • don't skip grits — P320 scratches show in the metal
  • don't cut through to the primer on edges
  • don't lay it on heavy

Safety: Contains organic solvents; AC40 is an isocyanate hardener. Spray in a booth with extraction, wear an A2P2 respirator, gloves and eye protection. Wear the mask for the metal sanding dust too. (General rules, not from a TDS.)
