PPS20 white polyurethane (PU) primer, general-purpose
Two-pack white polyurethane general-purpose primer for pigmented (paint-grade) finishing. Good adhesion to MDF, high solids, minimal shrink-back over time. Catalog: holds well on sharp edges, hides very well, resists runs and sags (thixotropic), dries fast and sands easily. Levels porous substrates and cuts enamel consumption.

- Don'ts
- Don't mix by eye or by volume - sources disagree on volume ratios (70 % maker, 60 % dealer); use scales.
- Don't use mix older than 4 h.
- Don't leave the primer uncoated - aromatic hardener yellows.
- Don't sand before 1.5 h; if the paper loads up, give it longer.
- Don't spray in high humidity (> 75–80 %) - isocyanate reacts with water: bubbles and poor cure.
- Always reseal the PC20 tin tightly - moisture in the air ruins it.

Safety: Flammable (solvents in base and S50). PC20 hardener contains isocyanates: spray in an extracted booth with an A2P2 combined respirator (air-fed preferred), nitrile gloves and goggles. Keep off skin; anyone sensitised to isocyanates must not work with PU.
