Decorative effect "Iron" (metallised enamel)
Two-pack acrylic metallised enamel loaded with metal particles to imitate iron. Once dry, the metal particles are sanded/burnished up to a metallic shine; age it with patina, or use the D100 additive over it for a rust effect.
- exclusive finishes on furniture fronts and panels in solid wood and MDF
- aged-metal (iron) imitation with patina
- base for the "Rust" effect (D100)

Mixing matrix
- AC40Hardener% by weight: 20 %dealer% by volume: 20 %dealer
always, fixed ratio
Acrylic hardener. For Iron the dealer lists 20 % by weight and 20 % by volume. Copper/Brass list the same hardener at 20 % by weight / 30 % by volume. For Iron the thinner's volume figure is ~1.2× its weight figure (20–30 → 25–35), so 20 % by volume is probably a dealer typo (physically ~24–25 % would be expected). Measure by weight: 20 %.

Stir thoroughly before filling the cup — the metal settles. Spray evenly, no runs: thin spots burn through to the primer when you burnish.

- Don'ts
- don't use without AC40 hardener
- don't sand/burnish before full dry (24 h)
- don't leave it without a clear topcoat — bare metal particles oxidise and rub off
Storage
Safety: Flammable, contains organic solvents. Spray in a ventilated booth with an A2P2 respirator, gloves and goggles. AC40 hardener contains isocyanates.
