Mixing matrix
- PC60Hardener% by weight: 30 %dealer% by volume: 40 %dealer
Standard ratio for the deep-matt version.
DM takes less hardener than the rest of PPL20 (30 % vs 50 %). The official DM page is broken: the hardener block is missing and S50 20–30 % / 25–40 % is labelled 'hardener'. The 2025 catalog transcript reads the footnote as 40*–50 %, the web catalog as 30*–50 %; the dealer says 30 %. Go with 30 %.
- S50Thinner% by weight: 20–30 %dealer% by volume: 30–45 %dealer
Default: normal evaporation, vertical work, 18–25 °C.
Catalog also gives 20–30 %.
- S70Thinner% by weight: 20–30 %catalog
Slow: hot shop, big panels.
The 2025 catalog allows S50 and S70 for the whole PPL20 series; the dealer lists only S50 for DM. On a deep matt a slow thinner can leave patchy sheen — test panel first.
- % by weight: 50 %schedule
Official schedule 'Finishing PU-foam parts', step 4 — enamel as the intermediate coat under patina.
The schedule writes the hardener as 'С20 (С61)' — legacy/alternative codes; the current catalog lists PC60 for PPL20. The amount (50 %) matches PC60.
- S50Thinner% by weight: 30 %schedule
PU-foam schedule, step 4.

HVLP, 1.7–1.9 mm, 2.0–2.5 bar inlet trigger pulled, ≤0.7 bar at the cap, fan open, 15–20 cm, 50–75 % overlap. Stir part A thoroughly before adding hardener (dealer: 'mix thoroughly'). Strain the mix (125–190 µm). On deep matt the sheen depends on film build: keep the same rate everywhere and lay one continuous final coat — no spot touch-ups.

- Temperature and humidity
- 18–25 °C, RH 50–70 %; part A and hardener at room temprecommended
- Don'ts
- don't add more than 50 % PC60 (30 % for DM) — extra hardener doesn't speed it up, it ruins the film
- don't use the mix past pot life (4 h, UM 3 h)
- don't sand or polish the final matt coat — you'll get shiny patches
- don't spray in a cold/damp shop
- don't leave the hardener can open — moisture kills the isocyanate
Storage

Safety: Contains organic solvents — flammable. The hardener is an isocyanate: spray in an extracted booth, wear a combined organic/particulate respirator (A2P2 or better), gloves and goggles. Keep away from flames.
