PC60 Hardener for PU coatings

Aliphatic (isocyanate, part B) hardener with fairly high lightfastness and elasticity. The catalog files it under "yellowing-resistant hardeners for matt PU lacquers"; on the hardener chart it sits at the fast/hard end with ≈29 % solids. The standard hardener for the white PPL PU enamels and the PTL60 worktop lacquer.

  • Part B for matt PU lacquers
  • White and tinted PU enamels PPL10, PPL20, PPL50, PPL1, PPL RAL, PPL01
  • PTL60 worktop lacquer
  • Swap-in for PC20/PC25 on PTL20, PTL1, PPS50 where yellowing is not acceptable (pale timber, whites)

Never sprayed on its own — nozzle and pressure follow the base (see the PPL10/PPL20/PTL60 etc. records). Part B only: weigh on scales, stir well, thin, strain, let it stand 5–10 min.

Process and compatibility

Mixing
Weigh per 100 parts part A; use volume only with the product-specific volume %.; Tinted batches: calculate hardener on converter + paste weight.; Don't overdose for speed — brittle film and yellowing; underdosing gives a soft, tacky film.; Never pour leftover mix back into the base can.recommended

Don'ts
  • Don't use with ATL/APL acrylics (use AC40/AC41) or with PTL200/PPL200 high-gloss (AC200).
  • Don't leave the can open — moisture ruins it (goes cloudy, thickens, skins).
  • Don't use hardener that has thickened or turned cloudy.

Not covered by the sources
  • No official t-color.ru product page
  • No Technocolor TDS/SDS PDF for PC60 found (web search budget exhausted this session; dealer probes of lakokraska31/woodonline returned nothing)

  • Shelf life (срок годности) not published
  • Catalog footnote «*» on PPL20/PTL1 «40* – 50 %» and PPL RAL «30* – 50 %» not explained; dealer gives 30 % for PPL20 DM and PPL R DM — conflicts with the catalog's 40* for PPL20 DM
  • PPL20 M volume %: official 70 vs dealer 60 (dealer UM page says 70); dealer also gives 60 vol % for PPL20 SM/G, PPL50, PPL R M
