primary ratio on the dealer card for R1013 DM

Catalog for PPL RAL: PC60 30*–50 %, the asterisk marking the DM variants (30 %). The R1013 DM card says 50/60 — the matt M figure (probably copied from the M/UM template). If the tin label or batch certificate says 30 %, use 30 %.

  • PC60Hardener

Every other PPL DM enamel at the dealer (R9001/R9003/R9005 DM, PPL20 DM) is PC60 30 % by weight / 40 % by volume, thinner S50 only at 20–30 % by weight / 30–45 % by volume. Not confirmed for R1013 DM.

above ~25 °C, large panels, when you need longer open time

S70 — slow PU thinner. More flow-out time but more dust pick-up and sag risk; does not change cure time.

  • PC20 / C61Hardener

The schedule says 'PPL20 (RAL, NCS)' with hardener 'С20 (С61)' — legacy/alternative codes; current is PC60. The 50 % amount matches the dealer card.

Don'ts
  • don't go past the 4 h pot life at 20 °C
  • don't pile on heavy coats wet-on-wet — solvent pop
  • don't sand or polish the final coat
  • don't thin past 30 % — dead flat loses flatness and hide
  • don't eyeball the hardener — weigh it, and confirm 30 vs 50 % PC60 for your batch first
