Sources disagree: official site 20–30 % wt / 20–35 % vol; catalog and dealer 30–40 % wt (dealer 35–45 % vol). The slow thinner is what lets the gloss flow out — the general-purpose S50 is not listed by any source for this product.

In hot weather — retarder to improve flow-out.

'To improve flow in hot weather use S100 or S101 retarder at 10–15 %' (dealer). Official S100 page: prevents air bubbles in the lacquer film in summer. A retarder doesn't change the cure chemistry but lengthens open time and dust-pick-up time.

Process and compatibility

Substrate preparation
Fully cured, flat, pore-filled base (2K primer such as PPS50277/PPS20 → enamel / pearlescent / effect), sanded P400–P600, dust blown off and tack-ragged. On bare open-grain wood, fill the pores first — a 100-gloss clear telegraphs every defect.recommended

Sanding · Polishing sequence

Temperature and humidity
18–25 °C material, air and substrate; RH 50–70 %; above ~25 °C use S80 / add S100–S101 retarderrecommended
Don'ts
  • Don't use without AC200 or swap in a matt-product hardener
  • Don't flood a heavy coat with excess slow thinner — sags and solvent pop
  • Don't polish before 3 days
  • Don't use the mix past its 6 h pot life
  • Don't spray in high humidity or onto cold parts
