always — fixed ratio for DM

The catalog gives PC60 30*–50 % for PPL RAL; the asterisk marks the DM variants (PPLR9003 DM*) — 30 %. The 50 % figure is for the M variants, not DM. PC60 is aliphatic and non-yellowing, which matters on a white.

Catalog: S50 20–30 %. S50 is the universal, medium-evaporation thinner; it doesn't change cure time.

above ~25 °C, large panels, or when you see dry spray/orange peel

Not stated by Technocolor for R9003 DM — our recommendation only. More dust pick-up and sag risk; doesn't change cure time.

HVLP, 1.8 mm tip (1.7–2.0), 2.0–2.5 bar at the inlet with trigger pulled, ≤0.7 bar at the cap, fan wide open, 15–20 cm, 50–75 % overlap. Stir the dead-flat enamel thoroughly before adding hardener (the matting agent settles). Don't lay it on heavy — thick wet films go blotchy in sheen on DM. recommended

Don'ts
  • don't use the mix past 4 h (20 °C)
  • don't add PC60 at 50 % — that's the M-variant ratio
  • don't thin past 30 % — DM loses flatness and hide
  • don't lay heavy coats wet-on-wet — solvent pop
  • don't sand or polish the final coat
  • don't skip stirring part A thoroughly before mixing

Safety: Use respiratory, hand and eye protection and overalls. The hardener contains isocyanates — use an A2/P2 respirator or supplied air. Keep away from children. Dispose of waste per regulations.
