PolyurethaneLacquerGloss: 100 gloss

PTL500

PTL500 Thixotropic high-gloss 2K PU lacquer (100 gloss)

Two-pack clear high-gloss (100 gloss) polyurethane lacquer with thixotropic rheology. Holds a heavy wet coat on verticals without runs or sags, cures hard and scratch-resistant, high solids (56 %) with good build, and polishes very well. Official card lists hardener PC72/AC200 (60 %); AC200 is the default here as the more yellowing-resistant one.

  • high-gloss finishing of vertical surfaces
  • chairs
  • coffins in various wood species (incl. solid oak — official schedule)
  • MDF
  • clear gloss topcoat over CQS patina on PU-foam (PPU) mouldings

equal alternative on the official card (60 %). PC72 is aromatic, the slowest/most elastic and the least yellowing-resistant hardener on the catalog chart (p.19). Recommended (not official) only for dark woods / toned work where ambering doesn't show.

Never over white or pale work. PC72 not found by t-colormarket search (checked 2026-10-05).

PC210 is not found by t-colormarket search and the former …/udalennye_korzina/pc210/ URL returns 404 (2026-10-05) — effectively not sold. Catalog chart (p.19): gloss group, ≈36 % solids, slightly below AC200 on yellowing resistance. Use AC200.

Electrostatic

Why ru
Страница о методах называет стулья типичной электростатической работой, а дилер указывает стулья в применении PTL500; требование к влажности/электропроводности — стандартная практика.

Official methods page: electrostatic is used mostly for chairs, table legs and cots, with any spray system (air/airless/airmix). Not official: wood needs ≥8–10 % moisture or a conductive primer; settings as airmix.

Process and compatibility

Substrate preparation
Flat, sanded (P360–P400), de-dusted primer or enamel, free of silicone, oil and wax. In the coffin schedule it goes over ETS50 polyester primer (2 coats, 8–12 h dry, sanded P360/P400).recommended
Goes over
ETS50 (PE primer, + EC1/EA1) / PPL20 (PU enamel) / CQS (patina) / CIT (stain) under primer
Sanding
Between coats P400–P600. Polish the topcoat only after full cure (48–72 h best): P1500→P2000→P3000, then compounds.recommended
Temperature and humidity
Dry at 20 °C (chamber); 20–25 °C in the PU-foam scheduleschedule
Don'ts
  • Don't use PC72 over white or pale work — it yellows
  • Don't use mixed lacquer past 4 h pot life
  • Don't polish before full cure
  • Don't eyeball the hardener — weigh it
  • Don't plan on PC210 — dealer lists it as removed
