ETL200
ETL200 Clear high-gloss polyester lacquer (100 gloss)
Clear high-gloss polyester (PE) lacquer with very high solids. Builds a very deep 'lens' and maximum gloss — the material for piano-grade gloss and high-gloss tabletops. High clarity, hardness and excellent physical/chemical resistance. Cured with EC1/EC2 hardener plus EA1 accelerator (2 % each).

- Furniture fronts and panels in various wood species
- Fronts, doors, kitchens, bathrooms, tables, chairs; solid wood — interior only (dealer timb.ru)

- EC1Hardener% by weight: 2 %official% by volume: 2 %official
Standard PE hardener — the default.
Catalog: 'EC1 — standard hardener for polyester materials'. Always used together with EA1 accelerator.
- EC2Hardener% by weight: 2 %official% by volume: 2 %official
When you need a longer pot life (heat, big batches, long pieces).
Catalog: 'EC2 — slow hardener for polyester materials, extends pot life of the mix'.
- EA1Accelerator% by weight: 2 %official% by volume: 2 %official
Always — the PE system accelerator.
Stir the accelerator into the lacquer first, mix well, then add the hardener. Never let accelerator and hardener meet neat.

2022 catalog (p.11): S10, S11 10–15 %; solids 95 %.
- EC1Hardener% by weight: 2–3 %dealer
To speed up gel and drying (cold shop).
Dealer: 'to increase speed raise EC1 to 3 %, or EC1 to 3 % and EA1 to 3 %'. Pot life shortens accordingly.
- EA1Accelerator% by weight: 2–3 %dealer
Maximum speed-up — together with EC1 at 3 %.
- EA1Accelerator% by weight: 1–1.5 %dealer
When you need a longer pot life (heat, large area).
Dealer: 'reduce EA1 to 1.5–1 %, catalyse with 2 % EC1'. Drying and sanding times get longer.

Air spraying is the official method ('Spray 150–200 g/m²'). Nozzle/pressure are our recommendation. Flush the gun straight after use — the PE mix gels in the cup.

With a 20 min pot life a pump rig needs twin-feed (plural-component) supply, or small batches and immediate flushing. Technocolor's own coffin schedule sprays ETS50 PE primer with 'airless with 2 intakes'.

Twin-feed only; for the final piano gloss prefer airmix or air spray.
Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- Dry wood/MDF, free of oil, wax and silicone. ETL200 goes over a polyester primer (ETS20/EPS20) levelled and sanded P320–P400. Oily/resinous species and MDF get sealed first (the official schedule puts PTS71+C72 isolator under the EPS20 PE primer).recommended
- Sanding
- Piano finish: after 24–48 h level P800→P1500→P2000 (wet), then polish with compounds (Technocolor's own schedule uses 3M Finesse-it). Between coats key with P400–P600.recommended
- Don'ts
- Never mix EA1 accelerator and EC1/EC2 hardener directly — accelerator into the lacquer first, then hardener.
- Don't mix more than you can spray in about 20 minutes.
- Don't apply over fresh PU/acrylic/nitro films or over oil/wax.
- Don't apply below 18 °C.
- Don't leave mixed material in the gun or lines.
Storage
- Packaging
- 25 kg (t-colormarket, sold per kg),5 l and 25 l (timb.ru: ETL200/5, ETL200/25)dealer
Safety: Flammable two-pack material. EC1/EC2 hardener (organic peroxide) and EA1 accelerator must never be mixed neat (violent reaction/fire risk). Spray in a ventilated booth with an organic-vapour respirator, gloves and goggles. Let rags and leftover mix cure out on a non-combustible surface.
