Hot shop (above ~25 °C), large flat panels

Slow thinner: better flow-out but more dust pick-up and sag risk on verticals. Does not change cure time.

Stir thoroughly before adding hardener — the matting agent settles (dealer: 'mix thoroughly before use'). Don't sand or polish the final matt coat — the sheen goes patchy.

Process and compatibility

Substrate preparation

PTS20 / PTS10
Goes over: why
clear 2K PU sealers (PTS20 in the official PU door schedule; PTS10 is the fast-sanding clear PU sealer from the same catalogue page)recommended
Temperature and humidity
apply 18–25 °C, RH 50–70 %; data quoted at 20 °Crecommended
Don'ts
  • Don't use a mix older than ~4 h
  • Don't sand or polish the final matt coat
  • Don't exceed 30 % thinner — build drops and the sheen shifts
  • Don't spray over damp wood or in high humidity
  • Don't swap PC20 for another hardener untested — only PC20 is official for M

Safety: Two-pack, solvent-borne, isocyanate hardener: spray booth with extraction, respirator (A2 cartridges or air-fed), nitrile gloves, goggles. Highly flammable.

Not covered by the sources
  • PTL10 M official page exists online but was not in the local mirror (fetched live); it carries no tech table
  • viscosity of part A — not published for any PTL10 grade (derived)
  • pot life, touch-dry and full-dry are published only for sibling PTL10 SM (which uses PC10 50 %, not PC20 40 %) — not confirmed for M
  • solids: catalog 43 % (family) vs SM dealer 40 ± 1 % — no M-specific figure
  • dust-free time, stack/sand time — derived
  • density, hardness, elasticity, chemical-resistance figures — not published
  • shelf life / storage temperature — not published
  • no finishing schedule (information/technology) uses PTL10
  • nozzle/pressure — no Technocolor data, all derived
  • no Technocolor TDS PDF found (web search budget exhausted; other dealers checked: woodonline lists only PTL10 SM, lakokraska31/ndom31 no hits)
  • no slow-thinner (S70/S80) or non-yellowing hardener (PC60) option published for PTL10
  • pot life and touch/full drying for M are carried over from sibling PTL10 SM (different hardener PC10 50 %) — now tagged derived
  • airmix fluid pressure: official methods page only gives 'up to 20 bar'
