LGA535
LGA535 Thixotropic 2K PU clear lacquer (10 gloss)
Two-pack clear polyurethane topcoat, deep matt (10 gloss), thixotropic so it hangs on verticals without sagging, and formulated for electrostatic spraying. Fast-drying with a soft, silky hand feel. Part of the LGA531–536 series, which differ only in sheen.
- Chairs, table legs, cots — spindled and 3-D parts
- Carved/relief furniture parts in any species
- Topcoat over LBA528 sealer on an electrostatic line
- Interior use only

- % by weight: 50 %official% by volume: 50 %official
Always — fixed 2:1 by weight and by volume, with any of the three hardeners.
LNB77 is Technocolor's hardener for PU primers and matt lacquers; Milesi TDS: 0.963 kg/l, 23.4 ± 2 % solids, 12-month shelf life. LNB42: 0.975 kg/l, 26.6 ± 2 %, 12 months. No data for LNB5 (probably Milesi LNB05, which the BG Milesi schedule calls a higher-solids catalyst; Technocolor also pairs LNB5/LNB77 with the LBA521 sealer). Hardeners are moisture-sensitive — reseal immediately. Weigh it, don't eyeball it; let the mix stand 5–10 min.
- LNBHardener% by weight: 50 %dealer% by volume: 50 %dealer
Bulgarian Milesi distributor schedule ('any LNB-series catalyst') — confirms the 50 %.
Reference only; in Russia use the Technocolor-listed hardeners (LNB42/LNB77/LNB5).
- % by weight: 10–30 (typ. 20) %official% by volume: 10–30 (typ. 20) %official
S50 (medium) is the default at 18–25 °C and on verticals. S70/S80 (slow) above ~25 °C or on big flat panels, so the matt film flows out instead of going dry/grainy.
S50: universal, medium evaporation; S70: slow; S80: slow, SG 0.84 ± 0.01 (official). Thinner doesn't change cure time, only evaporation (workshop notes). Less thinner = more thixotropy/hold-out on verticals.
- LZC13Thinner% by weight: 25–30 %dealer% by volume: 25–30 %dealer
Electrostatic line per the Milesi schedule — dedicated resistivity-controlled electrostatic thinner.
Not on Technocolor's list and no LZC13 data sheet found. If the gun won't wrap or trips on current with S50, check mix resistivity; Milesi's documented electrostatic thinner is LZC50 (resistivity > 800 MΩ·cm).

Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- Bare wood P150–P180 → stain (water-based) fully dry → PU sealer (LBA528 or other Technocolor PU primer) sanded P280–P320, de-dustedrecommended
- Sanding
- Sealer: P280–P320 after 3 h; lacquer on within 4 h of sandingdealer
- Temperature and humidity
- Apply 15–30 °C, ideal 18–22 °C, RH 65–70 %; dry ≥ 15 °C at 50–70 % RH; wood moisture 8–14 %datasheet
- Don'ts
- Don't sand or polish the final matt coat
- Don't thin beyond 30 % — you lose the thixotropy and it will run
- Don't use past pot life or revive a thickened mix with thinner
- Don't leave the hardener can open — it's moisture-sensitive
- Don't apply or cure below 15 °C
- Not for exterior use
- Stir the base thoroughly before catalysing — the matting agent settles
Storage
- Shelf life
- ≈ 12 months unopened (check the can label)recommended
- Storage temperature
- 0–35 °Cdatasheet
- Packaging
- 0.5, 2.5, 5, 12.5, 25 l pack range for the series hardener LNB77 (base sizes not published for LGA535)dealer
Safety: Solvent-borne 2K; the hardener contains isocyanates. Spray booth with extraction, A2 organic-vapour respirator (air-fed preferred), nitrile gloves, goggles. Flammable. Ground the electrostatic gun and the work.
