LNB500

LNB500 polyurethane hardener (Milesi)

Milesi polyurethane (isocyanate) hardener — component B. In the original Milesi TDS it is the standard hardener for the LGA531–535 thixotropic PU topcoat series (50 % by weight, pot life 3 h) and the alternative hardener for the LGA20 matt PU series (50 % instead of LNB77 — faster drying, harder film, gloss about 10 units lower). A Slovak Milesi dealer also lists it for the LBA528 sealer (alongside LNB42). Technocolor neither lists nor sells LNB500: for the same bases it gives LNB42/LNB77/LNB5 (LGA53x) and LNB77 (LGA20). Solids, density and isocyanate type are not published.

  • second component of the LGA531–LGA535 thixotropic PU topcoats (Milesi TDS, standard hardener)
  • second component of the LGA20/LGA21/LGA22/LGA210 matt PU lacquers when faster drying and higher hardness are wanted (Milesi LGA2x TDS)
  • second component of the LBA528 PU sealer (Slovak Milesi dealer)

Don'ts
  • don't change the 100:50 ratio
  • don't leave the tin open — isocyanate reacts with air moisture
  • don't blend with other LNB hardeners in one mix without a test
  • don't use with acrylic/polyester materials

Safety: Contains isocyanates and solvents: flammable, harmful vapour, can sensitise the airways. Booth with extraction, A2 respirator (A2P2 or air-fed when spraying), gloves, goggles.
