Mixing matrix

  • LNB42 / LNB77 / LNB5Hardener
    % by weight: 50 %official% by volume: 50 %official

Standard option per the Technocolor page — pick one of the three hardeners.

LNB42 gives better build (TDS), for ordinary spray; LNB77 is the hardener for PU primers and matt lacquers, 25 ± 1 % solids (t-colormarket), ordinary spray; LNB5 is for electrostatic discs/bells and where better wetting is needed (UA dealer).

  • LNB500Hardener
    % by weight: 50 %datasheet

Milesi TDS default hardener (pot life 3 h).

Not listed on the Technocolor page.

  • LNB42Hardener
    % by weight: 50 %datasheet

When more build is wanted (TDS: instead of LNB500).

UA dealer: LNB42 for ordinary spraying.

  • LNB5 / LNB05Hardener
    % by weight: 50 %dealer

Electrostatic discs and bells, extra wetting.

  • LNB36Hardener
    % by weight: 50 %dealer

Faster drying and better vertical hold while keeping good wetting.

    Not on the Technocolor page.

  • LNB06Hardener
    % by weight: 50 %dealer

    Better build and softer feel.

The BG schedule calls LNB06 a higher-solids hardener (used with the LBA528 sealer). No confirmed Technocolor equivalent; not listed on the Technocolor LGA532 page.

  • LNBHardener
    % by volume: 50 %dealer

Electrostatic schedule from Milesi's Bulgarian distributor (unspecified LNB hardener).

  • S50 / S70 / S80Thinner
    % by weight: 10–30 (typ. 20) %official% by volume: 10–30 %official

Standard range per the Technocolor page.

S50 = medium evaporation, the default, good on verticals. S70/S80 = slow (catalog: for dead-matt and high-gloss PU/acrylics) — use above ~25 °C or on big flats; more dust pick-up and sag risk. Neither changes cure time. 10 % = more build, 30 % = thinner, smoother film.

  • LZC1026Thinner
    % by weight: 10–30 %datasheet

    Per Milesi TDS (spray).

LZC1026 is Milesi's universal medium thinner. Technocolor lists S50/S70/S80 instead.

  • LZC13Thinner
    % by volume: 25–30 %dealer

    Electrostatic spraying.

    LZC13 is Milesi's electrostatic thinner (BG schedule). The worked example is 0.35 l per 1 l lacquer — 35 % on part A or ~23 % on A+B; the schedule text says 25–30 %.

Percentages are per 100 parts of component A.

Stir part A well before mixing (thixotropy + matting agent). Thixotropic lacquer levels worse on flat horizontals — orange peel is possible; for tops and panels pick a non-thixotropic lacquer.

Don'ts
  • Don't use the mix past pot life (2–3 h) or thin it once it thickens
  • Don't topcoat a sealer that's less than 2 h old — satin finishes wet out worse on fresh sealer (TDS)
  • Don't wait more than 4 h after sanding the sealer (BG)
  • Don't sand or polish the final 45-gloss coat
  • Avoid big flat horizontals — thixotropic lacquer levels poorly
  • Keep hardener tins closed — moisture-sensitive
