PTS60
PTS60 clear PU sanding sealer, high-hardness (for worktops)
Two-pack clear polyurethane sanding sealer with high hardness and high solids. Builds a hard base under the PTL60 SM worktop lacquer; together they give a surface with maximum scratch resistance. Low shrinkage, good pore fill, takes direct and diagonal impacts and shear without whitening or delaminating.
- Solid-wood and veneered worktops and bar tops (interior)
- Other wooden items of any species that need a hard, scratch-resistant finish
- Sealer under PTL60 SM lacquer

Mixing matrix
- PC25Hardener% by weight: 50 %official% by volume: 60 %official
Primary hardener. Mix by weight: base 100, PC25 50 (official site).
CONFLICT: official site 50 % by weight / 60 % by volume; dealer 60 % by weight / 60 % by volume; 2025-26 catalog 'PC25 60 %'. The catalog's hardener percentages are by weight throughout (e.g. PPS20: site 50 wt / 70 vol, catalog 50 %), so the catalog also means 60 % by weight - with the dealer that is 2 sources against the site. The site's 50 wt / 60 vol pair is physically consistent (hardener ≈0.83 of base density); 60 wt would be ≈72 % by volume, so the dealer's '60/60' is internally inconsistent. Default here is the official 50 % by weight (up to 60 % by weight per catalog); confirm with Technocolor.
- PC20Hardener% by weight: 50 %official% by volume: 60 %official
Alternative to PC25 - the official page lists 'PC25 / PC20' with the same ratio.
Dealer and catalog don't list PC20 for PTS60. The official page gives one ratio for both hardeners.
- C26Hardener% by weight: 50 %schedule
As written in the official finishing schedule (PTS60 : 100 %, C26 : 50 %, S50 : 20 %).
Code C26 appears nowhere else in Technocolor material - most likely a legacy hardener designation (cf. C61 with PTL61 in the same schedule vs today's PC60/PTL60). In practice use PC25. The 50 % matches the official by-weight figure.
- S50Thinner% by weight: 20–25 %official% by volume: 30 %official
Standard thinner (normal evaporation). Add after the hardener and stir.
Consistent across site, dealer (20-25 wt / 30 vol), catalog (S50 20-25 %), schedule (S50 20 %). Does not change cure time (workshop notes on S50).
- S80Thinner% by weight: 20–25 %recommended
Only above ~25 °C or on large flat panels where S50 gives dry spray/orange peel.
Not official - engineering recommendation.

- Don'ts
- Don't go over 25 % S50 - solids and hardness drop
- Don't use the mix past its 3-4 h pot life
- Don't sand before 4 h at 20 °C (1.5 h at 30-35 °C) - paper will clog
- Don't spray on damp timber or in high humidity - PU will blush
- Mix by weight and confirm the PC25 share: sources disagree on the by-weight figure (50 % site vs 60 % dealer/catalog); by volume all say 60 %

Safety: Flammable, solvent-borne; PC25 hardener contains isocyanates. Spray in a booth with extraction, wear an A2P2 (or better) respirator, gloves and goggles. Don't seal leftover mixed product airtight.
