PolyurethanePrimer

LBR15

LBR15 white polyurethane primer (2K)

Two-pack white polyurethane primer. Per the maker: excellent hiding, thixotropic, strong resistance to shrink-back (doesn't sink after sanding), and holds well on sharp edges. Spray-applied at 130–150 g/m² per coat; cured with LNB613 (40 % by weight) or LNB29 (20 % by weight), thinned with LZC1051 or S50.

  • white primer under pigmented PU enamels (also under gloss, thanks to low shrink-back)
  • routed MDF doors and parts with sharp edges
  • solid wood and veneer under opaque finishes

    % by weight: 40 %official% by volume: 55 %official

    primary option

Fixed ratio — weigh it. With LNB613 the sister LBR102 gets 4 h pot life and better flexibility (Milesi TDS).

  • LNB29Hardener
    % by weight: 20 %official% by volume: 27 %official

    alternative hardener

LNB29 is a more concentrated hardener (half the dose). No separate data on it at t-color.ru or the dealer.

  • LZC1051Thinner
    % by weight: 20–30 %official% by volume: 35–45 %official

    Milesi PU thinner, medium evaporation

The official 35–45 % by volume is one line shared by both thinners.

  • S50Thinner
    % by weight: 20–30 (typ. 25) %official% by volume: 35–45 %official

    universal thinner, default; vertical surfaces

S50 is normal evaporation (workshop notes). Above ~25 °C or on big panels S80 is an option — not officially listed for LBR15.

  • S80Thinner
    % by weight: 20–30 %recommended

heat above ~25 °C, large flat panels

Not an official pairing. More dust pick-up and sag risk.

Process and compatibility

Substrate preparation
Sand MDF/solid wood P150–P180, de-dust; MDF edges to P220 plus an extra primer coat. Wood moisture 8–14 %.recommended
Goes under
PPL10 / PPL20 / PPL200 / PPL500 / PPL50
Sanding
Final sanding before enamel no sooner than next day so the primer doesn't sink; P320–P400.recommended
Temperature and humidity
apply 15–30 °C (optimum 18–22 °C), RH 65–70 % optimum, 50–70 % during drying; do not dry below 15 °C; substrate moisture 8–14 %recommended
Don'ts
  • don't eyeball the hardener — LNB613 40 %, LNB29 20 % by weight
  • don't swap the two hardener doses
  • don't exceed 150 g/m² per coat
  • don't do the final sand before the next day
  • don't use mix past its pot life

Storage

Safety: Solvent-borne 2K PU with isocyanate hardener: extracted spray booth, spark-proof kit, air-fed mask or A2P3 filters, nitrile gloves, goggles.
