Mixing matrix

  • AC40Hardener
    % by weight: 10–20 (typ. 15) %catalog% by volume: 15–25 %recommended

    always — it's a 2K system

Go towards 20 % for kitchen/bath resistance, towards 10 % for a bit more flex.

  • S50Thinner
    % by weight: 30–40 %catalog% by volume: 40–50 %recommended

default: universal thinner, normal conditions, verticals

S50 is normal-evaporation, the default. Doesn't change cure time.

  • S80Thinner
    % by weight: 30–40 %catalog% by volume: 40–50 %recommended

above ~25 °C, large flat panels

S80 is slow — better levelling but more dust pick-up and sag risk. Doesn't change cure time.

  • S50Thinner
    % by weight: 40–50 %recommended

open-pored timber (oak, ash) — better colour and pore definition; apply 200–250 g/m²

  • AC40Hardener
    % by weight: 20 %schedule

schedule 'Oak kitchen fronts, decapé effect (acrylic)', step 7 — 'APL20 (RAL,NCS)'

Schedule writes 'C40' — read AC40. Schedule is for tinted APL20; APL R9016 M is the same enamel ready-tinted.

  • S50Thinner
    % by weight: 30 %schedule

    same decapé schedule, step 7

Percentages are per 100 parts of component A.

Don'ts
  • don't eyeball AC40 — weigh it
  • don't use the mix past ~6 h pot life
  • don't brush — spray only
  • don't sand or polish the final 20-gloss coat — it goes patchy

Storage

Packaging
1 кг,5 кг,25 кгrecommended

Safety: Flammable solvent-borne coating. AC40 is listed in the catalog as an aliphatic hardener for acrylics, so most likely aliphatic isocyanate (HDI) based. Spray in an extracted booth, A2P3 respirator (or air-fed), nitrile gloves. No naked flames.
