ATL50 SM
ATL50 SM thixotropic acrylic lacquer, semi-matt (30 gloss)
Two-pack thixotropic acrylic lacquer (acrylic-polyurethane cured with the aliphatic AC40 hardener). Sag-resistant, very clear, lightfast, flows out well on flat panels; high physical and chemical resistance and non-yellowing with age. Ideal for complex shapes, chairs and balusters.
- finishing any wood species and MDF
- kitchen and bathroom furniture
- vertical work: chairs, balusters, assembled furniture
- complex-shaped parts
- open-pore finishes on ring-porous timber (oak, ash)
- clear topcoat over white and light-coloured enamels
- clear coat over special effects (pearlescent enamels, metallic patinas)
- interior use only

AC40 is aliphatic and non-yellowing. More hardener gives a harder, more resistant film but shorter pot life.

S50 = normal evaporation, the default and for verticals; S80 = slow, above ~25 °C and on large flat panels.
S80 improves flow-out but means more dust pick-up and sag risk. Neither thinner changes cure time.

Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- Apply over a primed surface. Stir thoroughly before use.dealer
- Goes over
- ATS20 / APL RAL
- Sanding
- primer (ATS20) P320-P400 after 6 h; denib between lacquer coats as above; never sand the last coatdealer
- Temperature and humidity
- All data at 20 °C. Above ~25 °C switch to S80.
- Don'ts
- Don't lay it on heavy on flat horizontal panels: thixotropic lacquers flow less, so you get unfilled pores and orange peel (t-color.ru characteristics page).
- Don't use the mix past its 6 h pot life.
- Don't sand or polish the final coat (especially G and DM: patchy sheen).
- Example schedule
- Oak-veneered door: sand MDF P150-P180 → CTU23 stain sprayed both sides, 10 min dry → ATS20, 20 min, flip → ATS20 second side → 6 h dry, sand P320-P400 → ATL50, 3-5 min, flip → ATL50 second side → 12 h dry.dealer

Safety: Solvent-borne two-pack with an isocyanate hardener (AC40): spray in a ventilated booth with an A2/P3 respirator, gloves and goggles; keep away from ignition sources.
