APL R1015 M
Acrylic enamel, light ivory (20 gloss), RAL 1015
Two-pack acrylic enamel in light ivory (RAL 1015), 20-gloss matt, cured with AC40. Tough, flows out well in thin coats, flexible, non-yellowing over time, and shows the open grain nicely. Use it as a stand-alone top coat or as the base colour under patina.

always — it's a 2K system
Run towards 20 % for kitchen/bath resistance, towards 10 % for more flex. Weigh it, don't eyeball it.
- S50Thinner% by weight: 30–40 (typ. 35) %dealer% by volume: 40–50 %dealer
standard spray thinning; S50 is the universal, normal-evaporation thinner
S50 is the default, including verticals. Doesn't change cure time.
- S80Thinner% by weight: 30–40 %catalog% by volume: 40–50 %recommended
slow — above ~25 °C, big flat panels
Levels better but catches more dust and sags easier; doesn't change cure time.
- S50Thinner% by weight: 40–50 %dealer
open-pored timber (oak, ash) — better colour and pore definition; apply 200–250 g/m²
Weight % only (no volume given). Dealer note on this page has a typo naming 'APL R1013 M'; it applies to this enamel (cloned page text).
- AC40Hardener% by weight: 20 %schedule
schedule 'Oak kitchen fronts, decapé effect (acrylic)', step 7 — APL20 tinted to RAL/NCS
Schedule writes 'C40' — that's AC40. Schedule is for APL20 (RAL, NCS); R1015 is a ready RAL shade of the same enamel.

- Don'ts
- don't eyeball AC40 — weigh it
- don't use mix past the 6 h pot life
- don't brush — spray only
- not for exterior — interior furniture enamel
- don't sand or polish the final 20-gloss coat — it goes patchy
- don't skip stirring — pigment settles

Safety: Flammable solvent-borne coating; AC40 hardener is likely isocyanate-based. Spray in an extracted booth with an A2P3 respirator (or air-fed), nitrile gloves. No naked flames.
