LGA536
LGA536 thixotropic 2K polyurethane lacquer, 3 gloss (dead matt)
Two-pack thixotropic polyurethane lacquer, dead-matt (3 gloss). Per Technocolor: thixotropic, fast drying, pleasant to the touch. Applied by conventional or electrostatic spray at 80–100 g/m². Hardener LNB42/LNB77/LNB5 at 50 % by weight and volume, thinner S50/S70/S80 at 10–30 %. Being thixotropic, it holds on verticals and complex pieces without runs.
- dead-matt topcoat on chairs, cots, assembled furniture
- vertical surfaces and profiled parts
- electrostatic finishing of chairs and table legs
- 'raw wood' look — minimal sheen and a soft-touch feel

Mixing matrix
- LNB77Hardener% by weight: 50 %official% by volume: 50 %official
First choice for LGA536: the dealer describes LNB77 as the hardener specifically 'for PU primers and matt lacquers', and 3 gloss is a dead-matt lacquer.
Fixed 50 % — weigh it, don't eyeball it. LNB77: 25 ± 1 % solids (dealer); 23.4 ± 2 % solids, 0.963 kg/l, 12-month shelf life (Milesi TDS). Close the hardener can straight away — isocyanate hates moisture.
- LNB42Hardener% by weight: 50 %official% by volume: 50 %official
Equal alternative per the official page. Milesi pairs LNB42 with the LGA53x thixotropic series (LGA532: LNB42 at 50 %).
Milesi TDS LNB42: 0.975 kg/l, 26.6 ± 2 % solids, 12-month shelf life. Not listed at t-colormarket.ru (search returns nothing).
- LNB5Hardener% by weight: 50 %official% by volume: 50 %official
Third allowed option per the official page. No technical data found for LNB5 — only use it if your supplier confirms.
LNB5 not found at the dealer or in Milesi TDS archives.
- S50Thinner% by weight: 10–30 (typ. 20) %official% by volume: 10–30 %official
Default: 18–25 °C, normal work and verticals. 10–15 % when you need maximum sag resistance on chairs/assembled pieces; 20 % is normal; 25–30 % if flow-out is poor or you get orange peel.
Dealer: S50 — medium evaporation, for PU and acrylic primers, matt lacquers and enamels.
- S70Thinner% by weight: 10–30 %official% by volume: 10–30 %official
Slow. The dealer specifically recommends S70 for deep-matt PU materials — a good pick for a 3-gloss lacquer if large flat panels show striping/cloudy sheen, or in hot shops (above ~25 °C).
More dust pick-up and more sag risk on verticals — stay with S50 on chairs. Does not change through-cure time.
- S80Thinner% by weight: 10–30 %official% by volume: 10–30 %official
Slow, with better solvency than S70. Hot shop, large panels, even matt sheen on flats.
Like S70 — more dust and sag risk; doesn't change cure time.

15–20 cm gun distance, 50 % overlap, fan fully open, needle ~2 turns. A 3-gloss sheen is very film-build sensitive: keep an even 80–100 g/m² and don't re-wet half-dry areas — you'll get shiny patches.

Official method: 'spray 80–100 g/m²'. Conventional air spray transfers only up to ~40 % (methods page), so actual material use is higher.

Officially listed. Thixotropy + electrostatics is exactly what this lacquer is for: chairs, cots, assembled furniture (methods page, catalog note on thixotropic materials). Ground the work well; wood moisture 8–14 % or the charge won't drain. Check mix conductivity on your unit; slow S70/S80 usually don't hurt it but lengthen dust-free time.
Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- Apply over a sanded PU sealer (P280–P320; P320–P400 over stained work), dust off and tack. Wood moisture 8–14 %.recommended
- Sanding
- P320–P400 between coats; never sand or polish the final coat.recommended
- Temperature and humidity
- Ideal 18–22 °C, 65–70 % RH; do not apply or dry below 15 °C or above 30 °C; 50–70 % RH while drying.datasheet
- Don'ts
- Don't eyeball the hardener — 50 % by weight, weighed.
- Don't lay more than 100 g/m² per coat: dead-matt lacquer goes milky and patchy.
- Don't re-wet half-dry areas — you'll get shiny patches.
- Don't sand or polish the final coat.
- Don't spray below 15 °C or in high humidity — sheen goes uneven, possible blushing.
- Don't use mix past pot life (3–4 h), even if it still looks liquid.
- Stir part A thoroughly before mixing — the matting agent settles to the bottom.
Storage
- Shelf life
- ~18 months part A (estimate); hardener 12 monthsrecommended
- Storage temperature
- 0–35 °Cdatasheet
Safety: Solvent-borne two-pack polyurethane: flammable, and the hardener contains isocyanates. Spray only in an extracted booth, wear an A2P3 carbon-filter respirator (air-fed is better), nitrile gloves and eye protection. Use spark-proof equipment, no smoking. Don't seal leftover mixed material airtight (it gives off CO₂). See the supplier's SDS.
