PTS01 clear fire-retardant PU sanding sealer

Two-pack clear polyurethane sanding sealer with fire-retardant additives. Fast drying, high solids, sands easily (dealer); high strength, excellent wetting and elasticity (2025–2026 catalog). When heated, the fire-retardant components break down and release a non-combustible gas that starves the fire of oxygen and slows flame spread (dealer). Together with PTL01 lacquer it forms a clear system rated Group II fire-protection efficiency to GOST R 53292-2009 cl. 6.1 (catalog).

  • fire protection of interior timber structures
  • sealer under PTL01 fire-retardant PU lacquer (20 gloss) in the Group II clear system
  • interior panelling, doors, cladding and furniture in public spaces that need a fire-protection certificate

per the PTL01 dealer note, PC20 instead of PC25 gives a more flexible film but slower drying

    above ~25 °C, large panels

does not change cure time; more dust pick-up and sag risk. The fire certificate covers the S50 system — confirm with Technocolor

Don'ts
  • don't swap system components (sealer/lacquer/hardener/thinner) — the fire certificate covers the PTS01 + PTL01 system
  • don't apply less than 150 g/m² — fire performance drops
  • not for exterior use — interior only
  • don't use the mix past its 3–4 h pot life

Safety: Solvent-borne two-pack PU with an isocyanate hardener: spray in a booth with extraction, wear an A2P2/A2P3 respirator (air-fed preferred), nitrile gloves and eye protection. Keep away from naked flames. (General PU practice — no SDS found.)
