LGA2AA45
LGA2AA45 clear 2K polyurethane lacquer, 15 gloss
Two-pack clear polyurethane lacquer, matt (15 gloss), a furniture topcoat. Officially: excellent scratch resistance to EN 15186, good flow-out and hardness; certified to EN 71/1 (toy-safety standard, so it suits children's furniture). Hardener LNB20, LNB6AA0 or LNB77 at 50 % by weight and volume; thinner S50/S80 at 20–40 %. Spray-applied at 130–150 g/m² per coat.
- matt clear topcoat over PU sealer on solid wood and veneered furniture
- doors, tabletops, carcass furniture where scratch resistance matters
- children's furniture (EN 71 certificate)

Mixing matrix
- LNB20Hardener% by weight: 50 %official% by volume: 50 %official
Pale woods, limed oak, light tints — wherever ambering matters. On the Milesi LGA20-series TDS LNB20 is rated 'good yellowing resistance', dust/touch dry faster (15/45 min vs 20/55 min for LNB77), same 18 h hard dry; shorter pot life — 3 h.
Dealer describes LNB20 as 'for PU primers and matt lacquers, LBA and LGA series'.
- LNB6AA0Hardener% by weight: 50 %official% by volume: 50 %official
Officially approved; no guidance on when to prefer it. Not stocked by the dealer, no TDS found.
Same 'AA' code generation as the lacquer, so probably its matched hardener — confirm with Technocolor's technologist.
- LNB77Hardener% by weight: 50 %official% by volume: 50 %official
The standard LGA2-line hardener (the only official one for LGA22); longer pot life (4 h).
Per the LGA20-series TDS: dust free 20 min, touch 55 min, hard dry 18 h (same as LNB20); no yellowing-resistance rating — on pale wood prefer LNB20.
- S50Thinner% by weight: 20–40 (typ. 25) %official% by volume: 20–40 %official
Default, normal evaporation — 18–25 °C, vertical surfaces.
Doesn't change cure time.
- S80Thinner% by weight: 20–40 %official% by volume: 20–40 %official
Slow — above ~25 °C, large flat panels, better flow-out of the matt coat.
More dust pick-up and sag risk on verticals; doesn't change cure time.

Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- Over PU sealer only, never bare wood. Timber at 8–14 % MC, sanded P180–P220; stain → 2–3 coats PU sealer → sand P320–P400, dust off → LGA2AA45.recommended
- Sanding
- Sealer before topcoat P320–P400. Don't sand or polish the matt topcoat — you'll get shiny patches; for a repair sand the whole face and recoat.recommended
- Temperature and humidity
- apply at 15–30 °C (optimum 18–22 °C, RH 65–70 %); dry at ≥ 15 °C, RH 50–70 %; timber 8–14 % MC; above ~25 °C use S80recommended
- Don'ts
- don't apply onto bare wood
- don't use the mix past 3 h (LNB20) / 4 h (LNB77)
- don't stack before hard dry
- don't sand or polish the matt finish
- don't apply below 15 °C
Storage
Safety: Solvent-borne 2K; isocyanates in the hardener. Spray booth, organic-vapour (A2) respirator, nitrile gloves, no naked flames, spark-proof equipment. Check the SDS.
