Mixing matrix
- PC20Hardener% by weight: 40 %official% by volume: 40 %official
Manufacturer's standard recipe (official site, 2025 catalog, dealer pages for PTL10 UM/M/G).
Fixed ratio; add the hardener first, then thin.
- PC10Hardener% by weight: 50 %dealer% by volume: 50 %dealer
Alternative from the 2022 catalog ('PC20/PC10 40/50 %'). PC10 is an aromatic hardener that the 2025 catalog hardener chart places on the faster/harder side of PC20. The dealer page for PTL10 SM specifically lists only PC10 at 50 %.
Both PC10 and PC20 are aromatic and yellow in light; on the catalog's yellowing scale PC10 is worse (second-worst), PC20 slightly better. Prefer PC20 over pale woods and white grounds. Don't swap the ratios: PC10 = 50 %, PC20 = 40 %.
- S50Thinner% by weight: 20–30 (typ. 25) %official% by volume: 25–35 (typ. 30) %official
Standard universal thinner, normal evaporation, 18–25 °C.
Dealer SM page says 20–30 % both by weight and volume; official site says 20–30 % by weight / 25–35 % by volume.
- S80Thinner% by weight: 20–30 (typ. 25) %recommended% by volume: 25–35 (typ. 30) %recommended
Above ~25 °C or on large flat panels, for better flow-out.
Not listed by Technocolor for PTL10 — test on a sample first. Slower: more dust pick-up and sag risk on verticals.
