PTS90
PTS90 PU parquet sanding sealer
Two-pack polyurethane sanding sealer for parquet. High solids, sands easily, stays flexible. It sands more easily than the lacquer itself, which makes prepping for the topcoat simpler — aimed at people who struggle to sand back a first coat of lacquer in a two-coat lacquer system (dealer). Cured with PC90, the same hardener as PTL90 parquet lacquer.
- sealing parquet, engineered boards and timber stairs before a PU lacquer
- replacing the first lacquer coat in a two-coat system — much easier to sand
- base coat under PTL90 UM / PTL90 SM parquet lacquer

Answers are based on the PTS90 data and the products it mixes with.
Mixing matrix
- PC90Hardener% by weight: 50 %dealer% by volume: 50 %dealer
always; fixed ratio
PC90 is the aromatic parquet-lacquer hardener (solids 42 ± 1 %, dealer; aromatic group per catalog hardener chart). The dealer lists no alternative. 50 % = 50 parts per 100 parts sealer, i.e. 2:1
- S50Thinner% by weight: 20–30 (typ. 25) %dealer% by volume: 25–35 (typ. 30) %dealer
always; 20 % for build, 30 % for a smaller tip or a cool shop
25 % by weight default is the mid-point of the dealer range; the official PTL90 UM page lists the same S50 20–30 wt % / 25–35 vol %
- % by weight: 20–30 %recommended% by volume: 25–35 %recommended
above ~25 °C, large floor areas, when you need a longer wet edge
doesn't change cure time; more dust pick-up and sag risk on verticals (stair risers)

- Не опубликовано; данные приведены для 20 °C. Обычный режим для 2К PU — 18–25 °C, отн. влажность 50–70 %; изоцианатный отвердитель реагирует с влагой, поэтому избегайте сырых помещений (пузыри, побеление).
- Don'ts
- don't sand before 12 h — the paper will gum up
- don't use the mix past its 4 h pot life
- don't change the 2:1 ratio with PC90
- don't apply over oil, wax or an old finish without sanding back to bare wood
- don't put the floor into service before the whole system has fully cured (sealer 18 h, plus the lacquer)

Safety: Solvent-borne two-pack PU; the PC90 hardener contains isocyanates. Use extraction, an A2P2/A2P3 respirator (air-fed preferred), nitrile gloves and eye protection; when finishing floors in situ, ventilate well and keep naked flames away. (General PU practice — no SDS found.)
