CFC3
CFC3 Stain binder for UV systems
Stain binder for UV finishing lines. It is added to CPS pigment stain together with the slow thinner S90 — presumably to lock the stain onto the wood so the UV filler and sealer that follow don't wash it out or pick it up (purpose inferred from the recipe; Technocolor does not describe it). In the official schedule for flat panels veneered in anegre (UV) it is used as CPS 100 % : CFC3 200 % : S90 200 %, the mixed stain at 60–80 g/m², 5 min flash at 20–25 °C, then the UV filler VTS20011. No product page on t-color.ru, not listed at t-colormarket.ru (code search returns nothing), no TDS found.

Mixing matrix
- CPSAdditive% by weight: 50 %schedule% by volume: 50 %schedule
Staining anegre veneer in the UV schedule: CPS pigment stain carries the colour.
Ready mix is ~20 % CPS, 40 % CFC3, 40 % S90. Apply 60–80 g/m².
- S90Thinner% by weight: 100 %schedule% by volume: 100 %schedule
S90 is a low-evaporation thinner which the Technocolor catalog assigns to stains on open-pored timber (anegre is one). The official CPS page also lists S90 among its thinners (S10/S12/S90).
This schedule names only S90; S10/S12 (allowed for CPS on its product page) are not offered here.
- CFC3Additive% by weight: 200 %schedule% by volume: 200 %schedule
As written in the schedule: 200 parts CFC3 and 200 parts S90 per 100 parts CPS.
Same recipe as the two lines above, expressed on the stain as base.

Stir the CPS before measuring — the pigment settles. The schedule does not say whether % is by weight or volume; weighing is easier and more repeatable. Spray an even coat without runs — patches with excess binder will show under the UV sealer.

- Temperature and humidity
- 20–25 °C for stain flashschedule
- Don'ts
- Don't put the UV filler on before the stain has flashed — trapped S90 under the UV layer means bubbles and poor adhesion.
- Don't eyeball the ratio: too little binder and the next coat smears the stain, too much and you get haze and poor adhesion of the UV sealer.
Storage
Safety: No data. Treat as solvent-borne (the mix with S90 certainly is): spray booth with extraction, respirator with A-type filter, keep away from ignition sources.
