CLT10
CLT10 Kromolux white dye concentrate (wood stain base)
Binder-free, highly concentrated Kromolux dye stain (made by Milesi). CLT10 white is the series' base tint: it gives pastel / whitewashed shades, has high hiding power, strong non-yellowing behaviour and gives good adhesion for the lacquer on top. Unlike the other CLT colours it must be thinned with SOLVENT ONLY — never water. Intermixes with every other Kromolux colour in any ratio. Can be overcoated with polyester, polyurethane and nitrocellulose lacquers.
- Spray staining of all wood species (veneer and solid timber)
- Pastel / whitewashed tones; lightening and 'pastelising' other CLT colours
- All kinds of furniture, profiles, frames/mouldings, wooden articles in general

- % by weight: 500–1000 %official% by volume: 500–1000 %official
Default. S10 = fast, for fine-pored woods (beech, maple, birch); S12 = medium, for medium-pored wood; S90 = slow, for open-pored wood (oak, ash) and large panels to avoid blotches and lap marks.
Thinner-by-pore-size choice per Technocolor catalog thinner table and dealer S12/S90 pages. More thinner = lighter, more transparent tone. Dealer labels S10 'thinner for PE' and S12 'thinner for NC'; the catalog thinner table lists both for stains too.
- LZC97Thinner% by weight: 500–1000 %official% by volume: 500–1000 %official
Alternative thinner per the official page; in the Milesi TDS LZC97 is used as a small co-solvent fraction (see below).

Milesi's suggested solvent dilution (1:10 total).
LZC1000 has no Technocolor page; nearest Technocolor equivalents by purpose are S10/S12/S90.
- % by weight: 500–800 %datasheet
Thinners per the Milesi TDS (original IVM codes).
- waterThinner% by weight: NOT ALLOWED for CLT10 %datasheet
Forbidden: CLT10 is solvent-only (Milesi TDS and dealer note). Other CLT colours accept water (1 : 1 LZC97 : 14 water), deionised water only.
- % by weight: 0–200 %official% by volume: 0–200 %official
Spray binder (dealer: solvent-borne / water-borne spray binder). Add it to lock the stain in place — less bleed into the lacquer, more even colour on end grain and profiles. For solvent-only CLT10 use the solvent-borne binder.
Official page lists only CFS1; dealer lists CFH1/CFS1. The dealer doesn't say which is solvent- and which water-borne (Technocolor code logic: S = solvent, H = water). Technocolor schedules use CFS1 with the CTU universal dye: CTU 100 % + CFS1 150 % + S12 500 % (UV mouldings/frames, 80 g/m²) and CTU 100 % + CFS1 200 % + S12 500 % (PU raised-panel doors, 80–100 g/m²) — those are CTU, not CLT10, but the thinner/binder spec is identical.
- CLC20 / CFC3Additive% by weight: ratio not published %dealer
Dealer: for dipping, binder CFC3 may replace CLC20.
CLC20 (SG 1.044) and CLC30 (SG 0.925) are Kromolux-series binders in the Milesi TDS; no dosage given.

Gun 15–20 cm off, 50 % overlap, fan fully open, fluid throttled back (needle ~1–1.5 turns). Do edges and profiles first, then the flat in one wet pass — don't go back over areas that have started to flash. White settles: stir before filling and shake the cup now and then.

Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- Sand flats to P150–P220, profiles with K60–K80 abrasive pads; de-dust. Sand evenly — the dye shows up any difference in sanding and raised fibre.schedule
- Sanding
- Never sand the stain itself — you cut through the colour. Knock down raised grain on the first sealer coat (P240–P320).recommended
- Temperature and humidity
- TDS data at 20 °C / 70 % RH; store 18–25 °Cdatasheet
- Don'ts
- Do not thin CLT10 with water
- Do not sand the stained surface
- Do not seal over wet stain (especially with S90 and on open-pored wood)
- Do not go back over a flashing area — you'll get lap marks
Storage
