CPS035
CPS035 Solvent-borne pigment stain, Chestnut
Ready-to-use solvent-borne pigment stain, chestnut colour. Evens out colour variation and hides wood defects, levels well and is lightfast. Spray at 80-100 g/m², thin with S10/S12/S90 up to 100 % if needed. Dry in 20 minutes, then seal with primer (PTS20) and topcoat.
- Staining furniture in any wood species
- Evening out colour, chestnut / dark-walnut toning
- Veneered panels and solid wood under a PU or acrylic system

Ask about CPS035
Answers are based on the CPS035 data and the products it mixes with.
Mixing matrix
- % by weight: 0–100 %dealer% by volume: 0–100 %dealer
S10 — fast, for fine-pore wood (beech, birch, maple, alder); S12 — medium (NC thinner), for medium-pore wood; S90 — slow, for open-grain wood (oak, ash) and big panels — fewer lap marks and blotches.
Can be sprayed as supplied; thinning up to 1:1 makes the tone lighter and more transparent. Set the ratio on a test panel and write it down so batches match.
- S90Thinner% by weight: 200 %schedule
The official UV schedule (flat anegre-veneered panels) names the CPS series generically, not CPS035: CPS 100 / CFC3 200 / S90 200, 60-80 g/m², dry 5 min at 20-25 °C. The schedule does not state the application method. Not verified for a ready colour.
- CFC3Additive% by weight: 200 %schedule
Same UV schedule: 60-80 g/m², dry 5 min at 20-25 °C (application method not stated in the schedule).
CFC3 isn't listed by the dealer; confirm with Technocolor.

Stir thoroughly — the pigment settles; shake the cup as you go. One even wet coat, no puddles; go lighter on end grain (it drinks more and goes darker). Colour depth is set by the thinner dose (0-100 %): always spray a test panel on the same species.

The dealer lists spraying only for CPS035. Wiping after spraying is fine to even out colour (the catalog gives 'spray + wipe' for the CPS series), but the pore-highlight effect needs CFS1 binder, which isn't listed for CPS035.
