CPS3
CPS3 Solvent-borne pigment stain, Red (base concentrate)
Red base pigment stain on an organic solvent — a concentrate. High hiding, evens out colour variation and hides wood defects, lightfast. Let down 5-20x with S10/S12/S90; with CFS1 binder it can be wiped on to pick out the pores in oak/ash. As a base colour it's used on its own or to tint other solvent-borne CPS stains (cherry, mahogany, redwood shades).
- Staining furniture in any wood species
- Veneered panels and solid wood
- Evening out colour, imitating red species (mahogany, cherry)
- Pore highlighting on open-grain wood (wipe-on with CFS1 binder)
- Tinting other solvent-borne stains

Catalog (p.19): S10 — fast, strong solvency, for stains on fine-pore wood; S12 — medium evaporation, for medium-pore wood; S90 — slow evaporation, for open-pore wood. (Dealer labels S10 'thinner for PE', S12 'for NC', S90 'slow stain thinner'.)
1 part concentrate to 5-20 parts thinner; colour strength is set by the thinner dose. Always do a test panel on the same species.

- CFS1Additive% by weight: 0–400 %dealer% by volume: 0–400 %dealer
Solvent-borne binder for spraying (dealer). Per the catalog, with the special binder the stain can be wiped on for a pore-highlight effect on open-pore wood.
No binder = straight pigment stain; more binder = better pigment hold but a thicker mix.
- % by weight: 0–400 %catalog
2022 catalog lists binders CFS1, CFS3, CFS4 (0-400 %) without saying how they differ; CFS3/CFS4 are absent from the 2025/26 catalog and the dealer shop.
- CFC3Additive% by weight: 200 %schedule
Roller-coating flat (anegre veneer) panels under a UV system, 60-80 g/m².
CFC3 is not found at the dealer (t-colormarket.ru search) or in any catalog; its purpose is undocumented. Confirm with Technocolor.
- S90Thinner% by weight: 200 %schedule
Same UV roller schedule: slow S90.

- None — never sand the stain.recommended
Stir thoroughly — the pigment settles. Keep shaking/stirring the cup while you work. Lay one even wet coat, no puddles; go lighter on end grain (it drinks more and goes darker). To wipe: spray, give it 1-3 min, then wipe along the grain with a sponge or lint-free rag, packing pigment into the pores (pore-highlight effect on open-grain wood — needs CFS1 binder).

More overspray than HVLP; open the fan wide and hold the gun 20-25 cm off.
Cloth or pad
Wiping with a sponge or soft rag removes the excess after spraying (Technocolor's method definition). For a pore-highlight effect on oak/ash use CFS1 binder.
Roller coater (UV)
Flat parts on a roller-coater line only. In the official UV schedule the stain flashes 5 min at 20-25 °C before VTS20011 UV filler.
