CPS59
CPS59 solvent-borne pigment stain, Teak
Solvent-borne pigment wood stain in Teak, from the ready-colour wiping range CPS51-CPS62. Evens out colour variation, hides defects, levels well, lightfast. Apply by spray (80-100 g/m²), spray-and-wipe (80-100 g/m²) or roller coater (10-20 g/m²). Technocolor lists the range for exterior wood; the dealer lists it for furniture. Outdoors it must be overcoated with a weather-resistant system — the stain on its own protects nothing.
- Staining furniture in any wood species
- Decks, verandas, gazebos, garden furniture, boardwalks, cladding, fences, landscape features (official, series-level)
- Toning pale species (pine, birch, larch) to a teak shade (practice, not sourced)
- Pore highlighting on open-grain wood when wiped with a binder (catalog, CPS series)

Mixing matrix
- % by weight: 0–20 (typ. 10) %recommended% by volume: 0–20 (typ. 10) %recommended
S10 — fast, for fine-pore wood; S12 — medium, for medium-pore wood; S90 — slow, for open-grain wood (catalog). Species examples and 'S90 for big panels/heat' are shop practice, not catalog.
Dose the thinner for colour strength and wiping time, not viscosity. Not a manufacturer figure — check on a test panel.
- % by weight: 0–100 %dealer% by volume: 0–100 %dealer
Dealer figure for sibling ready colour CPS037 of the same 'Краситель ОР' range; CPS59's page has no table.
More thinner = paler, more transparent tone.
- % by weight: 500–1000 %catalog
Catalog figure for the CPS series as a whole.
Apparently meant for the concentrates CPS9/CPS10 (officially named 'концентрат'); for ready colours the dealer gives 0-100 % (CPS037). Not for CPS59 — you'd get a barely visible tint. (Interpretation, not catalog wording.)
- CFC3Additive% by weight: 200 %schedule
Roller coating flat panels under a UV system (anegre schedule), 60-80 g/m².
The schedule names 'CPS' generically; with ready-to-use CPS59 the tone will be much paler. CFC3 is not explained in the schedule.
- S90Thinner% by weight: 200 %schedule
Together with CFC3 in the UV-schedule roller recipe.
- % by weight: intermixable (no ratio given) %catalog
For a custom shade (e.g. teak + walnut for a deeper tone).

Stir thoroughly — the pigment settles. Keep shaking/stirring the cup while you work. Lay one even wet coat, no puddles; go lighter on end grain (it drinks more and goes darker). To wipe: spray, give it 1-3 min, then wipe along the grain with a sponge or lint-free rag, packing pigment into the pores (pore-highlight effect on open-grain wood — needs the 'special binder' the catalog mentions without naming it; CFS1 appears in official schedules only with CTU — unconfirmed for CPS).

A conventional gun works, but HVLP gives less fog and a more even tone.
Cloth or pad
- Open time
- wipe 1-3 min after sprayingrecommended
Wiping with a sponge or soft rag removes the excess after spraying (catalog method definition). For a pore-highlight effect on oak/ash the catalog calls for an unnamed 'special binder' (possibly CFS1 — unconfirmed for CPS).
Roller coater (UV)
Flat parts on a roller-coater line only. In the official UV schedule the stain flashes 5 min at 20-25 °C before VTS20011 UV filler.
Brush
On exterior structures (fences, decks) it can be brushed on and wiped back with a rag.
