LZC8643

LZC8643 slow PU thinner

Slow-evaporating thinner for two-pack polyurethane and acrylic materials of the L/K line (LUA/LDA lacquers, LBA/LBR/LJA primers, enamels and tinting-system converters). Used to bring the catalysed mix to working viscosity for the chosen application method.

  • thinning PU and acrylic lacquers, primers, enamels and converters (see "mix")
  • hot shops, large flat panels, gloss and dead-matt finishes — wherever you need a longer wet edge and better flow-out

Characteristics

Evaporation rate
'definizione=lento')official
Compatible chemistry
polyurethane,acrylicofficial
Effect on cure
Does not take part in the cure; within the officially listed % it does not change pot life or through-cure, but a slow thinner lengthens dust-free / touch-dry and flash-off, especially in thick coats and below 18 °C.recommended
Density

Application

N/a

Why ru
Разбавитель — добавка к смеси; рекомендации по соплу/давлению относятся к распыляемому продукту, а не к растворителю.

Not applied on its own — added to the catalysed mix (base + hardener). Take nozzle and pressure from the base product record.

Process and compatibility

When to choose
shop above ~25 °C or very dry air, where the mix dries in flight (dry spray, orange peel); large flat panels and gloss lacquers/converters (KDA1, KHR1, LDA401, LUA460) — you need a long wet edge and flow-out (the Milesi TDS names gloss PU of the LDA/LHR series explicitly); dead-matt lacquers (LUA468) — more even sheen, no stripingsource
When not to use
cold shop (below ~18 °C) or verticals, chairs, mouldings — more sag and dust pick-up; use a faster thinner from the product page where one is listed (LZC1026 is medium per the Milesi TDS; LZC1051 speed is not published); heavy primer builds: slow solvent stays in the film longer, so sanding comes laterrecommended
Goes into
KDA1, KGA1, KHR1, KKR1, LBA42, LBR102, LBR21811, LDA401, LGA180, LJA99, LKR181, LKR6AB16, LUA2010, LUA460, LUA461, LUA462, LUA463, LUA464, LUA465, LUA468
Temperature and humidity
Mix and apply at 18–25 °C, RH 50–70 %; use LZC8643 at the upper end of that range or above it.recommended
Don'ts
  • don't exceed the thinning % on the base product page — lower build and hiding, more sags
  • not for waterborne products
  • don't use in polyester (styrene) or UV products unless the maker says so
  • don't blend different thinners in one batch without a test panel

Storage

Storage temperature
Tightly closed original container, cool ventilated place away from heat and ignition sources, +5…+25 °Crecommended

Safety: Highly flammable liquid; vapours are harmful. Use in an extracted spray booth with an A-filter (organic vapour) respirator, nitrile gloves and eye protection. No smoking, sparks or naked flames; earth the equipment. (Generic solvent rules — no Technocolor SDS was found.)
