LHR4010

LHR4010 white gloss PU converter (tint base / white high-gloss 2K PU enamel)

White high-gloss 2K polyurethane converter — a tint base for light and pastel colours; untinted it is a white gloss PU enamel. Excellent scratch resistance, good hiding and flow-out, and it holds well on edges (doesn't pull back off the arrises). Spray at 120–160 g/m² or curtain-coat at 130–150 g/m². Hardener LNB110 at a heavy 80 % by weight; thinner LZC8643 (slow PU) at 40 % by weight.

  • Gloss white and tinted (light/pastel) MDF fronts, including routed profiles — good build on edges and end grain
  • Case furniture: flat parts on a curtain-coater line (sides, shelves, doors)
  • Surfaces that need scratch resistance — kitchens, cabinet tops, kids' furniture

Mixing matrix

  • LNB110Hardener
    % by weight: 80 %official% by volume: 110 %official

Always — the only hardener listed.

By volume there is more hardener than base (110 %) — that's correct for LHR4010, don't confuse it with KHR1 (50 % by weight). Weigh rather than measure by cup. Mix thoroughly, let it stand 5–10 min.

  • LZC8643Thinner
    % by weight: 40 %official% by volume: 60 %official

Standard thinner (slow PU) — for spray and curtain coating.

Slow thinner gives flow-out on gloss; in a cold shop (<18 °C) it stretches the dust-free time.

Percentages are per 100 parts of component A.

Application

HVLP

Recoat
after overnight dry (12–16 h) and denibbing; or wet-on-wet within ~15 minrecommended
Sanding between coats
P500–P600 (or K600 mat), dust off thoroughlyrecommended

Gun 15–20 cm, 50–75 % overlap, fan fully open. Hit edges and end grain with a banding pass first. Don't sand the final gloss coat unless you plan to polish it (not before 72 h).

Conventional spray

Airmix (air-assisted airless)

Curtain coater

Flat or lightly profiled parts only. Watch the viscosity in the head — the hardener is already in and the mix thickens; top up with fresh mix, not just thinner. Flush the head with LZC8643 before the pot life runs out.

Electrostatic

Why ru
Официальных упоминаний для LHR4010 нет; общие рекомендации с https://www.t-color.ru/information/methods/

Not stated. The methods page says any spray system can be electrostatic, but check the mix conductivity for a PU on slow thinner first.

Process and compatibility

Substrate preparation
MDF: sand P150–P180–P220, MDF sealer, 1–2 coats white PE or PU primer, sand P280–P320 (P400 under gloss), de-dust.recommended
Sanding
Primer P280–P320 (P400 under gloss); between enamel coats P500–P600; polish after 72 h at the earliest.recommended
Polishing
Can be polished after full cure (≥72 h, better 5–7 days) with 3M Finesse-it compounds as in the official schedule; heavy buffing on tinted pastels can shift the shade.recommended
Temperature and humidity
Work at 18–25 °C, never below 15 °C; RH 50–70 %; forced dry at 30–35 °C.recommended
Don'ts
  • Don't mix it up with KHR1's ratio: LHR4010 takes 80 % hardener by weight (110 % by volume)
  • Don't use the mix past its pot life or 'revive' it with thinner
  • Don't tint dark colours on a white base — use a clear converter
  • Don't apply over uncured or unsanded primer
  • Don't polish before 72 h
  • Don't work below 15 °C

Storage

Shelf life
8–12 months in the unopened canrecommended
Storage temperature
+5…+25 °C, tightly closed, away from moisturerecommended
