Mixing matrix
- LNB99Hardener% by weight: 10–20 %official% by volume: 10–20 %official
10 % standard; 20 % when you need higher chemical resistance (kitchens, bathrooms).
Default 10 % follows the dealer's mix table for the series (LUA468: 10/10). At 20 % it dries noticeably faster and comes out about 5 GU glossier. The hardener is OK over chemically bleached wood. LNB99 is non-yellowing, 32 ± 1 % solids.
- LZC8643Thinner% by weight: 20–30 (typ. 25) %official% by volume: 20–30 (typ. 25) %official
Always; it's a slow PU thinner, which gives the flow-out.
For curtain coating use the bottom of the range (~20 %); see application.
- LZC70Thinner% by weight: 20–30 (typ. 25) %recommended% by volume: 20–30 (typ. 25) %recommended
Only if LZC8643 is unavailable; not listed on LUA461's own page.
- LTC22Additive% by weight: 4 %dealer

HVLP 1.3–1.5 mm, ~18–20 s DIN4, 2.0–2.2 bar at the inlet with the trigger pulled, ≤0.7 bar at the cap. Fan fully open, 15–20 cm, 50–75 % overlap. Stir well before catalysing and during the job; the matting agent settles and the sheen goes patchy. These settings are derived.

Flat or lightly profiled parts only (methods page). For curtain coating thin at the bottom of the range (~20 % LZC8643), working viscosity ~25–32 s DIN4 (derived). Keep checking the head's viscosity: the solvent flashes and the lacquer thickens. Pot life is ~3–4 h, so catalyse in batches.
Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- Apply over: well-sanded polyester primers; PU primers with a good cross-linked structure such as LBA1 catalysed with 50–70 % LNB17; or fully cured LJA99 clear acrylic primerdealer

- LJA99 / LBA1 / polyester primers
- Sanding
- 320–400 grit (P)recommended
- Temperature and humidity
- 18–25 °C, RH 50–70 %recommended
- Don'ts
- Don't apply over LJA99 until it's fully cured
- Don't apply over PU primers with a weak cross-link (LBA1 with less than 50 % LNB17)
- Don't sand or polish the final 50 GU coat
- Don't use the mix after its ~3–4 h pot life
Storage
Safety: Two-pack, solvent-borne and flammable. Spray in a booth with extraction, wearing a charcoal respirator (A2P2/A2P3), gloves and eye protection. The hardener contains isocyanates.
