    standard finish

LNB99 is the non-yellowing hardener for acrylics; safe on chemically bleached timber.

    % by weight: 20 %dealer% by volume: 20 %official

when extra chemical resistance is needed (kitchens, bathrooms)

Dries noticeably faster, but the sheen rises by about 5 GU (≈ 20 instead of 15). Don't mix 10 % and 20 % batches on one job — the sheen won't match.

  • LZC8643Thinner
    % by weight: 20–30 (typ. 25) %official% by volume: 20–30 (typ. 25) %official

the only listed thinner — for spray and curtain coating

LZC8643 is a slow PU thinner for PU and acrylic materials. Slow solvent gives a good lay-down on a matt lacquer but more dust pick-up and sag risk on verticals — stay nearer 20 % there.

  • LTC22Additive
    % by weight: 4 %dealer

to protect the timber from UV-driven colour change

UV-absorber additive; listed in the 460–468 series note.

Curtain coating suits flat and lightly profiled parts (doors, sides, shelves). Viscosity, belt speed and head gap are set on the line — Technocolor doesn't publish them.

Electrostatic

Possible with any spray system (methods page); for a solvent acrylic set it up like airmix/conventional.

Process and compatibility

Goes over
polyester primers (well sanded) / LBA1 (PU primer, catalysed 50–70 % LNB17) / LJA99 (fully cured)
Substrate preparation
Sand primer/sealer to P320–P400, dust off, apply within the primer's recoat windowrecommended
Sanding
denib between coats P320–P400; final coat left as sprayedrecommended
Temperature and humidity
18–25 °C, RH 50–70 %, material and parts at room temperaturerecommended
Don'ts
  • don't use any hardener other than LNB99
  • don't exceed 20 % hardener
  • don't mix batches with different hardener % on one job — the sheen will differ
  • don't polish the final matt coat
  • don't apply over LJA99 that isn't fully cured

Storage

Safety: Two-pack solvent-borne material with an isocyanate hardener: flammable; spray in a booth, wear an A2P2 carbon respirator (air-fed preferred) and nitrile gloves. No product SDS found.
