LDA401
LDA401 Gloss 2K acrylic lacquer (clear)
Two-pack clear acrylic lacquer for maximum gloss (MILESI). It fills very well, dries reasonably fast and can be sprayed on verticals. It cures with LNB6A37 or LNB110 hardener at a high loading (70–100 %) and is thinned with the slow thinners LZC8643 or S80. Use it as a gloss-off-the-gun topcoat on cabinet doors, furniture and decorative systems. The special-effects catalogue uses it as the clear topcoat over crackle in the 'Mosaic' effect.
- gloss clear topcoat on wood and MDF
- vertical surfaces (doors, cabinet fronts, carcasses)
- clear gloss coat over pigmented enamel
- topcoat over TSE014-05 crackle in the 'Mosaic' effect

Mixing matrix
- LNB6A37Hardener% by weight: 70–100 %official% by volume: 70–100 %official
First-listed hardener on the official page.
The dealer page calls LNB6A37 'hardener for PU materials, improved isolating power, ideal penetration into wood, excellent clarity' and gives its area of use as 'isolant for exotic woods (rosewood, teak…) and MDF'. Its figures (part A solids 43±1 %, 10±2 s CF-4, 4 h pot life, 40 min touch dry, 4 h full dry, 250 g/m²) belong to that isolating system, not to LDA401. Do not carry them over.
- LNB110Hardener% by weight: 70–100 %official% by volume: 70–100 %official
The dealer describes it as the second component for gloss PU lacquers and enamels, the natural pick for maximum gloss. It is also the official hardener for KDA1, the clear gloss Milesi converter, at 50 %.
Dealer: solids 36±1 % (no other figures). Shop advice, not from the manufacturer: pick one ratio within 70–100 % (e.g. 1:0.8–1:1) and keep it for every coat.
- LZC8643Thinner% by weight: 20–30 %official% by volume: 20–30 %official
Primary thinner (MILESI). Slow PU thinner for PU and acrylic materials.
Slow evaporation gives the best flow-out for gloss. Don't overload wet film on verticals.
- S80Thinner% by weight: 20–30 %official% by volume: 20–30 %official
Alternative to LZC8643 (Technocolor). Slow evaporation, made for dead-matt and high-gloss PU/acrylic materials.
Workshop notes: S80 is slow. Use it above ~25 °C, for large panels and flat gloss. Expect more dust pickup and more sag risk. It does not change cure time.

Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- Apply over sanded primer or enamel (P320–P400 on primer, P400–P600 on enamel), dust off. The base must have reached the stacking stage.recommended
- Goes over
- TSE014-05 / XGC32 / RAL enamel
- Temperature and humidity
- 18–25 °C, RH 50–70 %; S80 rather than LZC8643 only if hotterrecommended
- Don'ts
- don't swap in Technocolor hardeners (AC40/AC200): use only LNB6A37 or LNB110
- don't flood verticals: it is not a thixotropic product
- don't polish before full cure
- don't recoat in the part-cured window (~1–8 h)
