LGA180
LGA180 clear acrylic tinting base (converter) for exterior use, 25 gloss
Two-component acrylic lacquer/primer converter by MILESI for exterior work. Tinted with KMT pastes to colours from various colour cards. Excellent weather resistance, copes with temperature and humidity swings, good wetting, elastic, improved abrasion resistance and non-yellowing. Holds well on verticals without sagging and covers well. Suitable for items used both indoors and outdoors.
- finishing systems for exterior timber: door and window units, shutters/louvres
- garden furniture, children's playgrounds, gazebos
- items used both indoors and outdoors

Application
HVLP
- Consumption
- 140 g/m²official
- Recoat
- without sanding while the film is still short of touch-dry (within ~2 h); otherwise only after 24 h with sandingrecommended
- Sanding between coats
- P320-P400 after 24 hrecommended
Mix the base and KMT paste thoroughly before adding hardener.
Conventional spray
- Consumption
- 140 g/m²official
Airmix (air-assisted airless)
- Consumption
- 140 g/m²official
Best choice for runs of windows and doors: good build on verticals without runs.
Airless
- Consumption
- 140 g/m²official
Fine for large flat parts; on profiles flow-out is worse than airmix.
Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- For best protection always treat the substrate with XWC 30 Xilocrom impregnation before applying LGA180.dealer
- Goes over
- XWC30
- Sanding
- Bare timber P150-P180 before impregnation; between coats P320-P400 after 24 h.recommended
- Don'ts
- do not use it untinted outdoors: the converter must be tinted with pastes to protect the coating
- do not exceed 30 % KMT paste
- do not put it over bare exterior timber without the XWC 30 impregnation
Storage
Safety: Solvent-borne 2K material with an isocyanate hardener: spray only in an extracted booth, wearing an A2P3 respirator (or air-fed mask), gloves and eye protection. Flammable, keep away from ignition sources. Keep the hardener tin tightly closed. (General advice, not from an SDS.)
