LUA463

LUA463 2K acrylic lacquer, 25 gloss

Two-pack clear acrylic (acrylic-polyurethane) topcoat by Milesi at 25 gloss — a semi-matt finish. Flows out well, resists scratching, chemicals and solvents. Catalysed with LNB99, a non-yellowing acrylic hardener (10–20 % by weight), thinned with the slow LZC8643 at 20–30 %. Spray at 100–120 g/m² or curtain-coat at 120–140 g/m². For open- and closed-pore furniture finishes, including chemically bleached timber.

  • Semi-matt clear topcoat for furniture — doors, carcasses (official: spray, curtain coating)
  • Kitchen doors and bathroom furniture exposed to humidity and temperature swings (dealer, sibling LUA468 description)
  • Pale and chemically bleached timbers — non-yellowing LNB99 (dealer: LNB99 card + series note on LUA468)
  • Open-pore and closed-pore finishes (dealer, sibling LUA468 application text)

At 20 % drying is much faster and the sheen rises by about 5 gloss (≈30 instead of 25) — dealer note for the 460–468 series. LNB99 is fine over chemically bleached wood. Weigh, don't eyeball.

Always for spraying; for curtain coating — to the machine's viscosity

LZC8643 is a slow PU/acrylic thinner: good flow-out, less dry spray on low-sheen lacquers.

LTC22 is a UV-absorber additive. No official t-color.ru page for it.

Application

HVLP

Consumption
100–120 g/m² per coatofficial

15–20 cm gun distance, 50–75 % overlap, fan wide open. Low-sheen lacquers are film-sensitive: lay it on evenly, no puddles, no dry spray, or you get sheen patches. Final coat in one full wet pass. Stir well before catalysing — the matting agent settles.

Process and compatibility

Substrate preparation
Wood MC 8–12 %; primer sanded P320–P400 and dust-free.recommended
Don'ts
  • Don't use without LNB99 — the lacquer won't cure on its own
  • Don't exceed 20 % LNB99 — sheen and brittleness go up
  • Don't sand or polish the final semi-matt coat
  • Don't apply over green LJA99 — only fully cured
  • Don't use the mix past its 3–4 h pot life
  • Don't spray more than 120 g/m² per pass — haze and runs

Storage

Shelf life

Storage temperature

Safety: Solvent-borne 2K lacquer with an isocyanate hardener (LNB99). Flammable. Spray in a booth with extraction, A2/P2 respirator or air-fed mask, nitrile gloves, goggles; no ignition sources. See the manufacturer's SDS.
