LUA465
LUA465 acrylic (2K acrylic-PU) lacquer, 10 gloss (dead matt)
Two-pack clear acrylic (acrylic-PU) lacquer by MILESI, dead matt at 10 gloss. High physical and chemical resistance and wear resistance, good elasticity, wetting and light-fastness; levels very well, resists scratches, chemicals and solvents, and leaves a smooth, pleasant-to-touch surface. Suited to work that sees swings in humidity and temperature: kitchen doors, bathroom furniture, cabinets. Catalysed with LNB99 (10–20 %), thinned with LZC8643 slow PU thinner (20–30 %). Spray or curtain-coat; works for both open-pore and closed-pore finishes.
- Matt topcoat for furniture, open- or closed-pore
- Kitchen doors, bathroom furniture, cabinet work
- Pieces exposed to swings in humidity and temperature
- Topcoat over well-sanded polyester primers and PU primers (LBA1, LJA99)

Mixing matrix
- LNB99Hardener% by weight: 10–20 %official% by volume: 10–20 %official
Standard — 10 % (as in the dealer's mixing table for the series)
Non-yellowing acrylic hardener; OK on chemically bleached wood. The 10 % default comes from the series mixing table on t-colormarket (LUA468 listing).
- LNB99Hardener% by weight: 20 %dealer% by volume: 20 %dealer
When you need extra chemical resistance (kitchens, bathrooms, worktops)
Dries much faster and loses some flatness — roughly 5 gloss higher (≈15 gl instead of 10) (dealer series note). Pot life probably shorter (inferred, not stated).
- LZC8643Thinner% by weight: 20–30 (typ. 25) %official% by volume: 20–30 (typ. 25) %official
Always; 20 % for curtain coating or cool shop, 30 % for spraying or hot shop
LZC8643 is a slow PU thinner. The 25 % default is just the middle of the official range (derived).
- LZC70Thinner% by weight: 20–30 (typ. 25) %recommended% by volume: 20–30 %recommended
Only if LZC8643 isn't available — not officially listed for LUA465
Listed as an alternative on the LUA460/LUA462 pages.
- LTC22Additive% by weight: 4 %dealer
Light or colour-shifting species, when the wood needs UV protection
LTC22 is a UV-filtering additive (460–468 series note).

Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- Topcoat over well-sanded polyester primers, or PU primers with a good cross-linked structure (LBA1 catalysed 50–70 % with LNB17) or fully cured LJA99.dealer
- Goes over
- LBA1 (+50–70 % LNB17) / LJA99 (fully cured) / well-sanded polyester primers
- Sanding
- Primer before topcoat — P320–P400; don't sand the final coatrecommended
- Temperature and humidity
- 18–25 °C, 50–70 % RH; not below 15 °Crecommended
- Don'ts
- Don't go over fresh, under-cured PU primer (series conditions: LBA1/LJA99 only as specified)
- Don't sand or polish the final matt coat
- Don't exceed 20 % LNB99 — it gets glossier and gels sooner
- Don't use the mix after its pot life
Storage
Safety: Flammable solvent-borne coating; the LNB99 hardener contains isocyanate. Spray in a ventilated booth, wear an A2 organic-vapour respirator and gloves, keep away from ignition sources. (General 2K practice — not from a product SDS.)
