CPH3

CPH3 Waterborne pigment stain, red (concentrate)

Waterborne pigment stain, red, supplied as a concentrate. Good hiding, evens out colour variation in the wood and masks defects, lightfast. Must be cut with water (400–600 %) before use. Add CFH1 binder for a more even lay-down and less grain raising. Slow drying and sensitive to low temperatures. All CPH stains intermix in any ratio; the red base is used to shift ready-made shades and to tint exterior coatings.

  • Staining furniture in any wood species
  • Evening out colour variation and hiding wood defects
  • Shade matching mixed with other CPH stains
  • Tinting exterior coatings
  • Spray, spray-and-wipe, roller coater (2025 catalog)

Process and compatibility

Substrate preparation
Sand P150–P220 (edges with K60–K80/K120 sanding sponges), de-dust. To limit grain raising, pre-wet with water, dry, denib P220–P240 before staining, or add CFH1.recommended
Sanding
Never sand the stain itself — the pigment cuts through to light spots. Sand only after the first sealer coat (P240–P320).recommended
