CPH26

CPH26 water-based pigmented wood stain, wenge

Water-reducible pigmented wood stain in wenge. Good hiding, evens out colour variation in the timber and masks defects, lightfast. Supplied as a concentrate and let down with water; it already contains 15–20 % CFH1 binder for more even lay-down and less grain raising. Slow drying and sensitive to low temperatures.

  • staining furniture in any wood species
  • evening out colour variation and masking defects in the timber
  • tinting exterior coatings (footnote to the CPH range, 2025 catalog)

Use a stainless fluid path (water-based). Stir before and during use — pigment settles. Lay one even wet coat, no puddles in the pores.

Don'ts
  • don't overcoat sooner than 4 h at 20 °C (longer in the cold)
  • don't let it freeze
  • don't flood it — pigment goes blotchy and hurts primer adhesion
  • don't use plain-steel/galvanised cups or guns
