Water-basedGlaze

CPH610

CPH610 White wood glaze (water-based, wax-modified)

White pigmented water-based wood glaze with added wax. Colours evenly without blotching, levels well and is lightfast; per the dealer and catalog it gives reliable UV protection and does not fade. Used as the final finish — no lacquer goes on top. Contains no biocides, so it can also be used indoors; for exterior work, pre-treat the timber with a protective impregnation first (the dealer names CTH100, the 2025–2026 catalog names CPH6).

  • gazebos, fences and other exterior timber structures
  • interior woodwork (biocide-free — per dealer/catalog description)

Not an official method. Spray thin; on open-grained or exterior timber, back-brush along the grain straight away so the glaze gets into the wood and doesn't streak.

Process and compatibility

Substrate preparation
Dry (MC ≤ 12–15 %), clean, dust-free bare timber with no old film coatings. Sand P120–P180. For exterior use, pre-treat with a protective impregnation first: CTH100 preservative (dealer) or CPH6 (2025–2026 catalog).dealer

Don'ts
  • don't topcoat with lacquer — it's the finish (the wax will hurt lacquer adhesion)
  • don't thin with solvents
  • don't apply on wet timber, in rain, in direct hot sun or below 10 °C
  • don't rely on it as a preservative — no biocides; use an impregnation outdoors
