CPH61
CPH61 Classic walnut wood impregnation (waterborne, exterior)
Waterborne exterior wood impregnation in classic walnut. Protects timber from the weather — temperature swings, moisture and insects — and gives it a decorative colour. Even colour, strong protection against fungi, mould and wood pests, high lightfastness.

Mixing matrix
- waterThinner% by weight: 0–5 %recommended
Only if needed (thickened product, topping up a dip tank).
Never thin with solvent thinners (S50/S80 etc.) — this is a waterborne product. Thinning lightens the shade.
- CPH6Additive
To get a lighter walnut tone with the same protection.
Only blend within the CPH6x line; find the ratio on a sample board.

Lay on one even wet coat with 50 % overlap, no puddles or runs — a tinted impregnation shows overlaps and runs as dark blotches. End grain drinks more and goes darker; pre-wet it with clear CPH6 if needed. Stir before and during use (pigment settles). Use a WB-rated (stainless) gun and hoses.

Dipping
- Consumption
- 60–80 g/m²official
Dipping gives good penetration into the wood; it is the usual way to apply protective impregnation in window production (methods page). Let the part drain fully, then dry.
Brush
- Consumption
- 60–80 g/m²official
- Why ru
- Стандартная практика для водных материалов.
Synthetic-bristle brush, work along the grain the full length of the board without stopping mid-way; brush out surplus to avoid blotches and colour build-up.
Flow coating
- Consumption
- 60–80 g/m²dealer
Flow coating is listed by the dealer for CPH61 itself. Let surplus drain off; watch colour evenness on end grain and edges.
Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- Dry, clean, dust-free timber with no old film coatings; wood moisture 12–15 %; final sanding P120–P150 (coarser rather than finer, to keep it absorbent for exterior use).recommended
- Goes over
- bare wood / CPH6 (optional, as a clear pre-treatment to even out end grain)
- Goes under
- CPH600 / CPH610 / CPH621 / CPH622 / CPH623 / CPH624 / CPH625 / CPH626 / HTL61 SM / HTL60 SM / HPL60 SM
- Sanding
- The impregnation raises the grain — denib lightly with P220–P240 once dry, very carefully: on a tinted impregnation it is easy to cut through to light wood on edges. Leave edges alone or touch them up.recommended
- Temperature and humidity
- Apply at +10…+30 °C, RH up to 80 %; not in direct sun, rain or on wet timber.recommended
- Don'ts
- Do not thin with solvent thinners.
- Do not apply over old lacquers/paints — it has to soak into bare wood.
- Do not let the product freeze.
- Do not stop mid-panel — the lap marks will show.

Safety: Protective impregnation against fungi/mould/insects (likely contains biocides — no SDS found): wear gloves and goggles, and a respirator when spraying; for interiors and food-contact surfaces prefer the CPH600–CPH626 lazures, which the catalogue states are biocide-free.
