CQS42410
CQS42410 Champagne patina (metallic, solvent-borne)
Champagne-coloured metallic solvent-borne patina for decapé and distressed/aged effects. Spray one coat over prepared primer or enamel, then after 5–10 minutes wipe the excess back by hand with Scotch-Brite or steel wool so the colour stays in the pores, profile recesses and on the edges. Very low consumption, fast-drying, wipes back easily. Works on solid wood, veneer, and raised-panel or carved doors over enamel. Must be top-coated with clear lacquer.
- Ageing (patinating) indoor furniture and wooden items
- Decapé effect on solid wood and veneer
- Patina over enamel on raised-panel and carved doors
- Interior items, fittings, décor elements, picture frames
- Classic, Provence and Mediterranean styles

Mixing matrix
- S10Thinner% by weight: 0–200 %official% by volume: 0–200 %official
Official t-color.ru page and dealer table: S10 0–200 % by weight and by volume (from neat up to 1:2).
'Ease of removal is adjusted with the thinner.' Less thinner = heavier lay-down, harder to wipe back.
- % by weight: 100–200 %dealer
Dealer description: 'reduce 1–2× with thinner'.
S10 dries faster and gives a harder surface; S2000 dries slightly slower but sands/wipes back more easily. Text doesn't say weight or volume (near enough the same for a patina).
- % by weight: 100–300 %catalog
2025–2026 catalog range for the whole CQS series — for a lighter, sheerer patina.
Catalog doesn't state weight vs volume. S2000: 'fast evaporation, low aggressiveness — patinas'.
- S10Thinner% by weight: 100 %schedule
t-color.ru schedules for CQS patinas: decapé oak (acr.), open-pore oak doors (acr.), PU-foam items (PU).
1:1 with S10; 80–100 g/m² (decapé, PU foam); schedules name the CQS series, not this specific colour.
- S13Thinner
Alternative per the catalog thinner table (S13 — fast: 'stains, patinas…').
Not named for CQS42410; no ratio given — use like S10.

Shake/stir before filling and keep agitating — the flake settles. Lay a light even wet coat into pores and recesses, don't flood. After 5–10 min wipe back with Scotch-Brite or steel wool, then clear lacquer.

Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- Official: over polyurethane or acrylic primers; dealer: over a prepared surface (primer or enamel). t-color schedules: open pore — ATS20, sand P240–P320 + K60/K80 pads, patina straight onto the primer; decapé — APS20 (sand P240–P320, K120) → APL20, patina over the enamel after 1.5 h at 30–35 °C with no sanding in between; PU foam — PPS20040 → PPL20 (4 h, 20–25 °C), patina without sanding the enamel.official
- Sanding
- Excess is wiped back with Scotch-Brite 07448 S UFN (oak schedules) or No.2 steel wool (PU-foam schedule). Don't sand between patina and lacquer.schedule
- Temperature and humidity
- 20–25 °C for application and flash.schedule
- Don'ts
- Don't leave it without clear lacquer — it isn't a topcoat and will rub off.
- Don't spray over uncured primer/enamel — it grabs and won't wipe back (the schedules don't sand the enamel before patina; primer for open pore is sanded P240–P320).
- Don't wait too long before wiping: past ~10 min it gets harder, especially with S10.
- Don't flood it — one coat, 60–100 g/m².
- Keep it stirred — the metallic flake settles and the shade drifts.
