CQS41002
CQS41002 Patina, white gold (metallic, solvent-borne)
Solvent-borne metallic patina in a 'white gold' shade. Sprayed over PU or acrylic primers (in the schedules also over enamel); after a short flash the excess is wiped back by hand with a Scotch-Brite pad or steel wool, leaving metallic shimmer in the pores, profile recesses and on edges — an aged look that picks out carved/moulded detail. Fast-drying, wipes back easily, very low consumption. Stir thoroughly before use (the metallic pigment settles). Must be top-coated with a clear lacquer.
- Ageing indoor furniture and wooden items
- Picking out carving, panels and profiles with metallic
- Metallic patina in the pores of open-pore oak over white/coloured enamel
- Finishing PU-foam and polystone mouldings
- 'Desert Rose' effect (metallic patina over HTL10001 'Frost')
- Ageing APL800XX metallic enamels

Mixing matrix
- S10Thinner% by weight: 100–200 %official% by volume: 100–200 %official
Standard reduction for spraying (official t-color.ru page).
S10 is a fast thinner with high solvency; the 2025–2026 catalog lists it for patinas among others.
- S13Thinner% by weight: 100–200 %dealer% by volume: 100–200 %dealer
Thinner listed for CQS41002 by the t-colormarket.ru dealer (instead of S10).
S13 is fast; the catalog lists it for stains, patinas, PE primers and PU/acrylic/UV materials. Dealer: 'Stir thoroughly before use'. Conflicts with the official page (S10) — both are fast and rated for patinas.
Wider range for the whole CQS series per the 2025–2026 catalog — for a lighter, more transparent patina.
Catalog gives 100–300 % without a weight/volume basis — hence pct_unspecified. S2000 is 'fast evaporation, low aggressiveness, for patinas' — kinder to fresh enamel.

1:1 with S10 (schedules don't say weight or volume). 80–100 g/m² is given in the decapé and PU-foam schedules.

Stir thoroughly and strain before filling; swirl the cup now and then — the metallic settles. Light, even wet coat, filling pores and recesses; don't flood. After 5–10 min wipe back with Scotch-Brite (07448, S UFN) or No.2 steel wool, along the grain / over the edges.

Officially 'spray + rub': after spraying the patina is rubbed / wiped back by hand with Scotch-Brite or steel wool.
Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- Apply over cured PU or acrylic primer/enamel. Schedules: decapé oak — APS20 → sand P240–P320 + K120 pads → APL20 enamel (1.5 h at 30–35 °C) → patina straight onto the enamel, no sanding; open-pore oak — ATS20 → sand P240–P320 + K60–K80 pads → patina; PU foam — PPS20040 → K120 pads → PPL20 enamel (4 h at 20–25 °C) → patina.schedule
- Sanding
- In the t-color.ru schedules the excess is wiped back: Scotch-Brite 07448 / S UFN (oak), No.2 steel wool (PU foam). The special-effects catalog words it as 'after drying it is sanded back, leaving it in pores, recesses and on edges'.schedule
- Temperature and humidity
- 20–25 °C for application and flash (schedules).schedule
- Don'ts
- Don't leave the patina without a clear lacquer — it is not a topcoat.
- Don't apply over uncured primer/enamel — it grabs everywhere and won't wipe back.
- Don't wait too long before wiping back: past ~10 min it gets harder, especially when reduced with S10.
- Don't flood it — 80–100 g/m² is already the reduced wet amount.
- Don't skip stirring: settled metallic gives a blotchy, uneven shade.
