VTL60095

VTL60095 UV-cure spray lacquer, 100 gloss (full gloss)

Clear UV-cure spray lacquer, full gloss (100 GU). Flows out very well, high clarity, good physical and chemical resistance. It does not dry on its own: it cures under UV lamps on a line, so you need a UV curing unit to use it.

  • Full-gloss topcoat for furniture parts and fronts on a UV-cure line
  • Topcoat over clear UV sealers (veneer, solid wood)
  • Flat panels and profiled parts where you need to stack straight off the lamp

With thinner you must pre-dry at 30–35 °C for 5–10 min; all the solvent has to be out before the lamp. Note: the catalog thinner table lists S11 for polyester gloss lacquers, not UV; for UV materials it names S13/S30/S31.

  • S31 / S13 / S30Thinner
    % by weight: 0–15 (typ. 10) %recommended

Only to trim spray viscosity. S31 by default (better levelling on gloss); S13/S30 if the line's pre-dry zone is short.

Don't use slow thinners (S70/S80/S100): solvent left in the film under the lamp causes bubbles, haze and poor adhesion.

Process and compatibility

Substrate preparation
Veneer/solid wood sanded P150–P220; then clear UV sealer coat(s), each lamp-cured; before the lacquer sand P240–P320 and de-dust.schedule
Sanding

Temperature and humidity
material and parts 18–25 °C, RH 50–70 %; pre-dry zone 30–35 °Crecommended
Don'ts
  • Don't send it to the lamps without pre-drying — you'll get bubbles and haze
  • Don't store it or leave it in open containers in sunlight/daylight
  • Don't apply over 2K PU/acrylic without an adhesion test
  • Don't overload the film — a too-thick coat won't cure through
  • Don't use slow thinners S70/S80/S100

Safety: Contains solvents and acrylate monomers: spray in a ventilated booth, wear a respirator, nitrile gloves and goggles; avoid skin contact (acrylates are skin sensitisers). UV lamps: protect eyes and skin, keep the tunnel shielded.
