VTS30006
VTS30006 clear UV-curing spray primer (sealer)
Clear UV-curing primer for spray application. Per Technocolor it sands well, is transparent and has good adhesion. Used as a sanding sealer under clear UV lacquers on veneer and solid wood on UV-cure lines, especially on profiled parts that a roller coater cannot reach.
- Sealing veneer and solid wood under clear UV lacquers (spray)
- Profiled parts, mouldings, routed fronts - where roller coating is not possible
Single-component product: no mixing needed — use as supplied (see application below).

Mixing matrix
- Hardener
No hardener - cures under UV light. The official page lists none.
Only to trim to spray viscosity; S31 by default, S30/S13 when the solvent has to clear faster before the lamp.
No published ratio for VTS30006 - confirm with Technocolor. If it is a 100 %-solids product, thinning may not be allowed at all.

Application
Conventional spray
Spray is the only officially listed method, 100-130 g/m².
HVLP
Gun distance 15-20 cm, 50-75 % overlap (owner's workshop HVLP set-up). Always flash off before the lamp.
Airmix (air-assisted airless)
Preferred on a line and on profiles - high transfer efficiency, even film.
Airless
Process and compatibility
- Substrate preparation
- sand veneer/solid P150-P220, de-dust; if staining, stain and dry per schedulerecommended
- Sanding
- after UV cure P240-P320recommended
- Temperature and humidity
- material and part 18-25 °C; flash-off 30-35 °Crecommended
- Don'ts
- Do not send an un-flashed coat into the UV lamp - blisters and poor intercoat adhesion
- Do not leave the can open in daylight
- Do not lay more than ~130 g/m² per pass - risk of under-cure and poor sanding
Storage
Safety: Contains acrylate monomers (typical of UV materials) - skin sensitiser: nitrile gloves, eye protection, respirator when spraying. Shield eyes/skin from UV lamp radiation.
