CIT9
CIT9 Kromoroller dye concentrate, black
Solvent-borne black dye concentrate from the Kromoroller range. Let down with 5–20 parts thinner per 1 part concentrate (500–2000 %) with S10/S12/S90/LZC97 before use. Good lightfastness, bright clean colour, does not raise the grain. Can be top-coated with NC, PU, polyester and UV systems. Applied by roller coater, spray, spray-and-wipe, or wipe-on. Looks best on hard open-pored species such as oak and ash.
- colouring veneer and solid wood of any species
- black/ebonised look on oak and ash with grain showing
- evening out colour variation between parts
- darkening/shading other CIT dyes
- roller-coater staining of flat panels on a line
- staining solid oak before polyester primer (official coffin schedule)

Binder (optional). Use for wipe-on application and to lock the dye in / reduce blotching.
Binder is optional; needed for wiping. Dealer for CIC12 (Kromoroller wiping binder): 'add 20–30 % to the ready CIT stain'. Official CTU schedules use CFS1 150–200 % per 100 parts dye + S12 500 % - different series, do not copy to CIT.
- CIC12Additive
For wipe-on and spray-and-wipe: let the concentrate down with thinner first, then stir in 20–30 % CIC12.
