CIT1
CIT1 Kromoroller solvent dye concentrate, yellow
Solvent-borne Kromoroller dye concentrate (yellow) for making up wood stains. Good lightfastness, clean transparent bright colour, doesn't raise the grain, and evens out colour variation in the substrate. Can be top-coated with nitro, PU, polyester and UV lacquers. Applied by spray, spray-and-wipe, wiping or roller coater. Works best on hard open-grained species like oak and ash.
- staining solid wood and veneer of any species
- roller-coater staining of flat veneered panels (5–15 g/m²)
- wiping stain that highlights open pores (with CIC12 binder)
- evening out colour variation in the substrate
- shading/tinting stains by intermixing with other CIT colours

- % by weight: 500–2000 %official% by volume: 500–2000 %official
Always — CIT1 is only used let down. 500 % for a strong colour, 2000 % for a light tint.
S10: sg 0.790 ± 0.01, fast drying, also a gun-wash (official); the dealer labels it 'PE thinner'. S12: nitro thinner, 'suitable for thinning dyes' (official). S90: slow, for stains on open-grain wood, doesn't shift the shade (dealer). The dealer lists only S10/S12/S90 (500–2000 % by weight and by volume); LZC97 appears on the official page only.

Wiping and spray-and-wipe, large panels, hot shop — when you need more open time.
Slow evaporation reduces lap marks and blotching when wiping.

When the stain is to be wiped, or more body/binding is needed.
The official page doesn't state whether the % is on the concentrate or the made-up stain.
- CIC12Additive% by weight: 20–30 %dealer
Wiping stain: CIC12 'Kromoroller wiping binder' improves flow for rag application and pops the pores on oak/ash.
CIC12: viscosity 53 ± 3, full dry 3–4 h at 20 °C (dealer).
