VTL30010

UV-curing spray lacquer for furniture, 10 gloss (dead matt), clear

Single-pack, solvent-borne clear UV-curing spray lacquer, dead-matt 10 gloss. Flows out very well, high clarity, scratch- and scuff-resistant, good chemical/physical resistance. 44–46 % solids, so it needs a solvent flash-off before going under the UV lamps. Good choice for cabinet doors, interior doors and bathroom furniture.

  • Dead-matt (10 gloss) clear topcoat on cabinet fronts
  • Interior doors
  • Bathroom furniture
  • Carcase parts, veneered and solid-wood parts on spray UV lines

Mixing matrix

  • S30Thinner
    % by weight: 20–30 (typ. [object Object]) %catalog% by volume: 23–34 (typ. 28) %recommended

    Standard spray thinner, fast evaporation.

S30 = fast thinner for PU, acrylic, polyester and UV materials (catalog thinner table).

  • S31Thinner
    % by weight: 20–30 %recommended

Hot shop (above ~25 °C), large flat panels, dry spray with S30.

Lengthens the flash before UV — don't cut the flash time.

  • S11Thinner
    % by weight: 20 %recommended

As in the official moulding/frame schedule (given for VTL30040).

Analogy only; catalog thinner S30 preferred.

Don'ts
  • Don't send it under the UV lamps without a solvent flash-off
  • Don't sand or polish the final 10-gloss coat
  • Don't leave it in daylight — it will start to cure
  • Not for roller coaters — spray grade
  • Don't lay more than ~130 g/m² per pass — patchy matt, trapped solvent

Safety: Contains solvents (flammable) and uncured acrylates (skin sensitisers): spray booth extraction, nitrile gloves, goggles, A-filter respirator when spraying. Shield eyes/skin from UV lamp radiation. Cure leftovers in daylight before disposal.
